Soooo, the normal version of the item being 5 ilevels below the TF version of the item didnt give you a lower item level? Last I checked I could still do mathematics and that is in opposition to fact =/

So you tell me if the pug groups are inspecting you for which items of yours are TF or not and if you have your BiS trinket that’s TF’d or if they just invited you because some garbage gear TF’d up enough to give you the better ilevel.

Depends on the group lead, some look at armory, some look at item level, some wat achievements, some look at IO.
Corruptforging is worse than titanforging, because you didn’t have to rely on a titanforge to drop, it was just a nice treat. Corruptforging is just as rare, but now you need it to be able to beat stuff on time.
Sure they do that stuff, but they’re not looking for BiS unless they’re special.
Wanna know how I know that? Because BiS doesn’t realistically exist in a TF world. The moment you get some garbage itemized piece that TFs enough and/or gives you a socket you’re almost guaranteed to use that over an item that’s your BiS that wasn’t TF’d.
Hell most RLs aren’t even going to know what your BiS is to begin with.

And the power spikes are alot better now with Corrupted forge, Titanforge never gave this much power wohahahahaha!

No, it really didn’t. A warforge was like 5% improvement on gear I previously had, titanforge 15% usually. A corruptforge, at the same ilvl, would be a much larger increase. I say would because I have no frame of reference since I don’t have any yet.
Don’t forget the 3 ranks even at just rank one it blows titanforge out of the water so it just gets stronger.Rank is the new ilvl now plus base ilvl of said item imho.Those 2 together.

For all the hate that corruption system is getting here, I actually enjoy it. Truthfully I don’t care so much whether or not the item I get guaranteed corrupts or not. At the least, I’m expecting an item and that hasn’t failed me. As far as the RNG goes its still there for people who want that corruption effect. IMO it adds a nice element to the game with the effects available. Even if you didn’t get it yet doesn’t mean you never will.
A good number of you compare it to slot machines and I gotta say I agree with you on that, it’s pretty dumb to rely on random chance just for items in general. I’d rather have an item guaranteed than what - 500 azerite? lol. It would be nice to have some kind of token system back for raids at the least where if I didn’t get a piece I wanted, then I’d at least have tokens I could spend. Y’know, besides using a coin on a boss and getting gold on the bonus roll >_>
I will say this i have a Tier 2 470 infinite Stars ring and a Tier 3 415 Infinite stars ring.
Item level (only when comparing corrupted pieces) does play a Large roll, the 470 Tier 2’s Proc is 34% stronger than the 415s Tier 3 Proc.
now corrupted vs non corrupted is a one sided battle regardless of ilvl ill give ya that.
