So out of the blue my launcher said that I need to do an “update” for WoW last Thursday. I clicked the Update button and it says I have bad files and it scans the files to fix it. Then freezes the launcher.

Other times it gives me the pop up saying “Whoops! Looks like something broke. Give it another try.”

This doesn’t work. So I went through every FAQ help on the links provided and none of them worked. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it from scratch. Once it was complete it did the same thing. I uninstalled the launcher and reinstalled that, no help.

So now coming to the forums, any solutions for this massive problem?

When you get the error there should be a specific error code that comes along with it. Which code are you getting?

The error code is BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

What is the install location for the game? Do you have multiple drives on the computer?

I do, I have my OS drive C, and my programs Drive D.

Is there room to move the game to the C drive to test?

No there isn’t, I have a spare external drive I can hook up to test. Not on cable internet though so it will be a couple days before I can test.

If you have the game installed on a different drive we can just copy the files over. Otherwise we’ll want to try installing on the external to test as long as its formatted with NTFS.

Edit: This can be closed, the problem was with my hard drive, it wouldn’t write the files correctly. New hard drive and the game is working perfectly.
