Corrupt an ability

Game is simple. You request an ability from another class that will get added to your tool kit, but it would have a corruption effect to it. A few examples to get the ball rolling:

I wish mages had warrior leap.

  • leaping causes your character to be momentarily stunned on impact.

I wish warriors could cast portal.

  • portal spell is automatically randomized on usage.

I wish mages had fade.

  • when used, one of your transmog pieces disappears for 24 hrs. Effect stacks.

So, for my official first request…

I wish mages had paladin freedom spell.

(next poster, please corrupt my wish and request an ability for another poster to corrupt your wished ability)

Warriors have rain of fire

but take a fire damage dot that stays on you until either Mob dies or a certain % is healed off

Give all priest specs access to Silence

But it becomes an AOE effect like in D&D.

Pfft, I want the old vanilla trees back where you could go as much tank as you wanted and put in dps or utility. Magic damage and healing. Retribution and healing or healing with tanking. Affliction with pets. The skill trees we have now are very mathy and not very choice oriented.

Feign Death has a 5% chance of making your healer have a heart attack…

oh wait, thats how it works on live. because there is no indication that they are faking it. they appear dead to your allies too.

Granted, but the pure unfiltered freedom causes your very orderly spells to occasionally act wildly and cast something completely different.

I wish warriors had stagger.

Give mages a shield that absorbs damage in exchange for mana.

Make it drain 2 mana per 1 damage absorbed, turning it into a self-OOM machine.

Then add a talent that lets you cast it on enemies.

Wait a second… hey, that’s cheating, it already existed!

Granted, ankh has two charges.

I wish one of the tanks had blood lust.

It also gives you the effects of being severely drunk. Hence why you’re staggering. :innocent:

Granted, but your ui goes into full drunk effect and your movement keys are randomly shuffled for 30 seconds.

I wish mages could cast Divine Shield!

granted, but it works both ways, you cant cast out either or use any other spell including your hearthstone

i wish shaman totems lasted until combat ended
