Corpsegrinder NPC

Just remove every reference to a real person in the game, even the ones that would make people mad.

That’s 110% blizzard’s fault for showing that at blizzcon. It had nothing to do with George.

What he said was done as a metal festival.

So, let’s ignore what he said because it wasn’t said at Blizzcon? What? lol

So this is this weeks new spam topic then?

The two are not mutually exclusive.

The reality of it is that Corpsegrinder never should have gotten a NPC in the first place after what was said. There is no version of this where those comments are acceptable.

It does not make it more acceptable just because not everybody who says similar things in chat gets banned.

Yet you chose to make a thread to complain about the removal of a NPC, not about the lack of enforcing their policies in-game.

Let’s remove everything in society that offends someone else, what?! Lol

You can defend weak people all you want It’s not going to make them any stronger, they’ll always be weak.

There are indeed many “weak” people at risk of committing suicide. Honoring someone who encouraged it is unacceptable.

There’s a thorough distinction between something being simply offensive, and hate speech.

We’re now defending people who encourage others to commit self harm. Peak WoW toxicity achieved.

There’s a difference between being serious and joking around. That’s the issue of today’s society certain people can’t tell the difference between the two.

Players literally asked for this.

There isn’t. It’s old news. And players asked for this.

The removal of the NPC is likely less about “erasing Corpsegrinder” and more about Blizzard’s own endorsement of the singer’s views, as seen in this video on-stage at Blizzcon 2011:

Corpsegrinder guy is not a Blizzard employee and can say as he pleases. Blizzard projecting him up on screen was a bad call, placing an NPC of him in-game, also a bad call. Both actions endorse his views, intended or not.

He told people to kill themselves, that can’t stand.

So then they shouldn’t have made him an NPC based off of his music that he sings.

Which if they did that that would cross lines of professionalism.

All i care about really is transmogs, if they remove reveiling armour for female characters my GF and i are done, she loves making her characters show skin cause she is big into the anime stuff and also games like Tera, she said that if the remove that transmogs she is done and i am following (i have played since launch of wow)

I’m sure all of you have said worse things leave NPC’s alone already.

And they’re now correcting back that based off of player feedback.

A very small percentage of players. Very small.

While they ignore the massive amount of players demanding in-game changes pertaining to the actual gameplay.

No argument there from me; I feel it was poor judgement on the part of the WoW team at that time. Very poor judgement.
