Are you kidding me??? After making delves a loot pinata, this is especially stupid this year.
Only 80s can use the trinkets, and in most cases my alts had better even before 80? Great way to promote…(skip). So much for holiday cheer…

Honestly, I cant remember the last time holiday boss loot was even remotely relevant. It has been a loooooong time.

Honestly, to make particular events more enticing — whether it’s holidays like Brewfest, Hallow’s End or even Timewalking - They REALLY should oomph up the gear that’s earned from them.
- I’d say at least with timewalking you have weekly quests or an odd raid-questline here & there, but the dungeons are inadequate (IL of normal mode dungeons, but you can NOT upgrade them).
I think having an odd questline similar to a weekly for the holiday event & completed via involvement, which rewards a treasure-chest that gives heroic IL raid loot would be a fantastic incentivisation for players to going in & experiencing whatever holiday cheer is being presented at the time. 
What nikolo said, holiday bosses arent really for the gear anymore. It’s more for the transmog / mounts. They’ve been super easy for over half of WoW’ss lifetime.

If you have to type “delete” to get rid of the gear you’re wrong. It’s great gear, that’s why you have to type “delete”
These events are all about mogs, achievements, pets, and mounts. Occasionally an un geared alt will get something useful, but they’re upping the drop rate on all the rare items to the point there’s not a reason to run alts through this anymore.
Does he still drop the brewfest armor skin for the protodrake? That’s the best of the holiday armors, I still use it on my warrior.

Other than an alt that never does anything (including level) these items are rarely equipped…when has a holiday event dungeon ever dropped BiS gear?
Edit: I’ll say this though…if anything the gear isn’t really that bad. I mean it’s Adventure gear. This 599 toon still has an Adventure trinket (and shield) so if anything this might be better than usual if the conversation is simply gear IL???

Yeah this event isn’t really to help people gear, lol it’s a solid chunk of xp if you are leveling, and a way to get some interesting cosmetics.

My 74 is using one of the trinkets from CDB. To be exact on him Corin’s Cold Chromium Coaster.
These holiday events weren’t really meant for gearing.
Sometimes we do get things that are useful depedning on level.
But,mostly it’s just for the mounts and cosmetics.
Now it’s useful for gear and trinkets if need them.
Idk where you got only 80s can use trinkets because that’s simply not true.
