So I have maxed out my blacksmithing. I am 100/100 and have at least quality 5 green tools/accessories. Why is it, that if I give Core Alloy, A pattern that is learned with level 1 Khaz’algar Blacksmithing, quality 3 bismuth, I get a quality 1 alloy… IMO this is bull and just a resource dump… With max skill and highest quality material for a basic crafting pattern, I should not be getting quality 1 results… Especially when I can instead give quality 1 material to something like Ironclaw Alloy and get a quality 3 variant.
Before you internet warriors jump on this about how “well KP affects your stuff” I know it does… I have not put any KP into alloys period, so theres no reason for a higher skill alloy to be easier to craft than a lower skill one. This needs to be fixed. Core alloy is a commonly used material needed for dang near everything and im sorry but im not about to waste a bunch of kp to do alloy specialization over being able to actually craft useable equipment.

Wait. You are saying you can craft Ironclaw alloys at Quality 3 without any issues?
If what you say is true you can do something that I can’t do as someone who invested in alloys. If what you say is true and with quality 1 materials then you currently have a license to print Gold.

If you are feeding Core Alloy R3 mats and receiving a R1 Alloy result, submit a bug report.
R3 mats provide 210 skill, and with your 100/100 you are at 310 skill. Since Core Alloy only needs 263 skill to hit Rank 2, any attempt that produces R1 is a bug.

Yeah, even without tools on, a 100/100 Blacksmith can hit T2 Core Alloy with 4x R2 and 6x R3 Bismuth.
I have maxed my Ignition Tree and my Alloys - tomorrow I’ll be able to add my final Blue profession tool, thus meaning that I can finally craft R3 Core Alloys with… 10 R3 Bismuth…

How did you get 900 acuity so fast?
Patron orders can give 30 a pop. Then you have all the book turn ins and a couple weeks of weekly turnins. If you keep up with it, you can be over 900. Ono this toon I’ve gotten to 966 acuity just keeping up with patron orders (I do skip a lot of the 10s though)
