I’d appreciate any help, not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m trying to get a duplicate for an alt in another server:

  1. I delete the alt’s character folder (the one automatically created).
  2. I copy my main’s character folder.
  3. I paste the main’s character folder in the alt’s server folder.
  4. I rename the main’s character folder to the alt’s name.
  5. I log in.

Nothing’s there, it’s as if the game is deleting the folder I copied and making a new one on it’s own. What am I doing wrong?

Is the game running while you’re copying stuff? It shouldn’t be.

You could also try just copying the contents of the folder from one toon to another rather than copying the whole folder then renaming.

Also addon settings are not stored in the character folder.

No, I made sure to exit before trying to copy it.

I tried copying the folder and also just the contents, same result. Once I log in the data is overwritten by whatever was already stored server-side.

Not even macros are getting copied.

That’s really odd.

There’s a couple synchronize CVars you can try playing with (use AdvancedInterfaceOptions) but you shouldn’t need to.
