Husband and I just worked to get rep up and get access to this vendor pet we had heard about and we got him and there it doesn’t seem to work as a vendor like advertised. WHY? What do we need to do to get this to work please? So disappointing to watch my husband taking the time to finish this quest and be all excited about it to only realize it doesn’t work.

Your gona have to be more specific on how its not working details are the key.
The vendor functionality that was present in Beta never made it to Live servers. Not every system found in Beta will make it actively into the game.
Wowhead reported on this shortly after launch.

Not only does he not have the merchant ability he also can’t be a battle pet. All that farming and Coppers is a dud.

From the recently released .0.5 build:
- Source added as vendor both internally and in the description
- Type changed from Beast to Humanoid
- Removed the flag “CantBattle”
- Added abilities and base stats (a lack of Power is not necessarily a problem because internally the system is additive and will default to 8 in the addon, although older pets have the 0 specified separately
)

I just bought him for a vendor and to find out they shafted it make me feel like i wasted all that time getting the wax to buy him.
