His merchant ability was taken away since Beta and he is just a pet that cannot battle. Either give him back his BETA ability or make him a battlepet who can be leveled and battle. Otherwise he is useless.

To expand on this. In 11.0.5 Coppers has been made into a battle pet.
He no longer remembers how to fix, only to fight!
Fighting is all he knows now.
When does 11.0.5 go in? He’s still not a battle pet in my collection.
Will definitely be before the 20th Anniversary events start in game, as the patch contains those.
The 2024 Roadmap article only states Autumn 2024:
Wowhead discusses the possibility of the patch being in October.
