Now, I’ve been in zones up to duskwood in terms of level ranges but it seems like tin is spawning at the same rate as most rare ores and every node is defaulting to copper, I don’t know if this is how it’s supposed to be but everything I remember from my (addmitedly limited) knowledge screams that this shouldn’t be happening, I mean, you can look on twinstar’s site and find it listing tin nodes in the mines in westfall when that doesn’t seem to happen the majority of the time (though it may not be accurate as it’s PS data I still think it’s worth looking in to given the recent dungeon XP fiasco). I could be wrong on all this but I really don’t feel like this is how it was, some sort of confirmation would be greatly appreciated. At this point I’ve found more silver than tin.
Im in desolace and i still see copper. Going from copper to tin then immidiatley to iron has always been the most annoying part of leveling mining. It gets easier.
If you’re looking for tin, go to the deadmines. Spawns inside the instance and the mini dungeon outside it. I havent seen any copper in STV or arathi so theres that.
If your alliance just do all your tin mining in that cave.
A lot of resources in vanilla have weird curves compared to the leveling. For example, a very narrow level range of mobs drops wool, you go from linen to silk far too quickly to level tailoring
My favorite is when you basically have to gray out tin to mine iron. Suuuuper annoying
Maybe i’m not far enough (level 36) so i’m starting to see mageweave early. But had to farm multiple stacks of silk to keep my tailor relevant. But the other two (linen and wool) were mostly fine. But yeah onto copper I do agree. I’ll be running around and see copper in level 20-35 tons. But hardly any tin. Then I go to 30-40 zones and it jumps up multiple tiers.
