Cooldown Manager

The cooldown manager is missing too many buffs. Every buff available to a class should be an option on the list then the players can decide which ones to track.

It is indeed in a bad way.

Yes, I don’t have a good cold blood tracker and it’s a proc. It’s a pain.

Shocking a professional company would do this. Someones head really needs to roll . Reverse the midnight patch and try again add your features without destroying others work that is actually useful.

Anyone know of an addon that will reskin the timers on the cooldown manager?

I like the bar timers, but I’d like something a bit more minimalist.

It should work by drag and drop.

If you have it in your bags, or your talent tree, or spellbook, you can drag it into the CDM and then choose to track it or not. Tier set procs you drag a tier piece in.

That way they can set a hard line for what the CDM can / can’t do without the players really feeling limited, and it sets future expectations for maintaining the CDM in terms of what will / won’t be added.

Also avoids needing to use things like hideously long dropdown menus to select things.

EDIT: Also the DoT tracking sweep is absolutely heinous.

Who thought this was in any way a good choice of colours for clarity and visibility?

While theyre at it, the cooldown bar needs a fixed position that locks on either the left or right NOT the center. Trying to make it lined up with my action bar with different characters is frustrating as it extends from the center.

Its a disaster, has been a disaster since it was first added over a year ago. Hey its at least mostly usable at this state, maybe in another year we’ll have something not complete crap!

  1. Needs dynamic groups. Who cares if someone has 1 group of icons or 20. This is such a weird restriction for the sake of….. what exactly? Other than some Blizz dev thought there’s no way anyone could ever want to have more then 2 groupings of icons.

  2. Let us track any spell from our class. There’s no thought behind what is and isn’t trackable other than the fact that it seems nobody within Blizzard plays their own game and they either don’t know a spell exists or don’t understand why something may want to be tracked.

  3. The alignment sucks and its absolutely idiotic that we need to download an addon to get it to be centered. This thing just makes it absolutely clear nobody within Blizzard actually plays this game.

  4. The colors are awful. White text on bright colors makes cd text nearly impossible to see for some abilities. Additionally, Ion you were so vocal that you want the base UI to be able to do everything meanwhile we still need an addon for something as basic as “only show icon when on CD”. Once again, its clear NONE OF YOU PLAY THE GAME YOU’RE DEVELOPING.

  1. Conditional saturation for DoTs.
If my DoTs aren’t active, I’d like the icon to indicate that in a way that’s clearly distinct from the icon itself. Typically by making the icon greyscale.

  2. Conditional visibility for cds. If I have an ability that’s off cooldown but infrequently used, such as innervate or mass dispel, I don’t need to see the icon 24/7. Let me set conditions for when abilities show up on the cdm.

  3. Dynamic positioning within groups. If I have 5 cooldowns in a group and they’re all hidden when off cd, then when I put one on cd I want it to centre and not just be in a static position.

Yeah, I was honestly impressed with the number of important buffs we couldn’t track.

Someone who never used any of the previously available addons/options. Eww. I figured it would at least start full-coloured and finish greyed out; the reverse just seems unhelpful.

The whole war on addons has been a disaster. The cooldown manager is just one example. They need to make cell fully functional again.

They are ruining the game.

That yellow is hideous. There is a reason I’m using bartender to track my spell cooldowns.

If you find something, let me know. I miss my WA dot timers more than anything

Playing with guesses and hunches is far more satisfying though! :upside_down_face:

Found one! MyEssentialBuffTracker. I’d link Arc UI, but apparently it’s going to get broken with the upcoming API updates, so… this is what we got. lol

Made mine look like this:

You’re kidding right?

Bliz really don’t seem to have any idea what we want from our UIs.
