With this on the way, will anyone use it over Weakauras? Depending on how detailed it is I may jump ship.
Almost certainly not.
The much-ballyhooed Dragonflight UI revamp ended up being a big nothingburger for me, I didn’t end up dropping a single addon from it. I expect more of the same.
Yea I’m currently using ElvUI. Blizzard would have to give me something similar to use their version.
My “cooldown tracking” is largely short-cooldown stuff (4 seconds, 8 seconds, etc.) and they often overlap when they come off cd. Will Blizzard’s cooldown tracker let me prioritize? Change the size of various reminders? Add sounds?
If it’s just a “this will track your 3-minute cooldown” then that’s pretty useless. Brewmasters don’t even have one that’s good. ![]()
I like being able to customize my interface in every detail. I doubt Blizzards one size fits all solution will do what I want.
I’m glad they are making improvements but I’m more glad that they let others make interfaces as well.
I don’t use Elvui, it always breaks any time there’s a new patch so that’s one less addon I need to worry about. I’ll see how the CD manager is, but I might stick with my few WA that I have.
ElvUI is definitely heavy on the resources. I’ve tried my hands at gobfather and it would lag, I have a good PC.
If I do consider raiding I will have to find a solution.
Like half of my guildies use it, I don’t and I play just fine and I don’t have to deal with it when it breaks so I don’t have to scramble 15mins before raid trying to update and fix it. But I’m also someone who, before the DF UI overhaul, only used the default UI so I’m content with the default UI and what it can do now.
hey at least we have pretty killer 5 minute and 6 minute cooldowns… righttttt
I have a heavily customized UI that has evolved over many years. Includes addons from Shadowed Unit Frames & IceHUD to Weakauras and MRT.
My cooldown tracker is much more substantial than what Blizzard can provide.
You get stable fps? Even in Dorn around other players?
Also, I should check out that iceHUD
I don’t like addons, although I use some.
They use a suspicious amount of RAM for what they do.
I am looking foreward with optimism to the UI improvements.
Yea, I use Consoleport and if you use Betterbag it lags like crazy with controller navigation.
Currently using Bagnon until I find something lightweight.
Yeah I don’t ever have framerate issues. And I’m on a 9-year-old machine.
I’ve been writing my own addons since MoP, so my UI is more customized than what I can throw together with WeakAuras.
Are you saying I am not experiencing what I am experiencing?
My computer is fairly new.
I’ve had zero issues with framerates from addons since I got my first quad core CPU in 2014.
Yea I don’t know a thing about writing addons. ![]()
Sounds difficult
I don’t use weakauras now.

Maybe it might make some of my addons inferior. Which I won’t mind.
