cooking was extremely easy to lv while using my trash fish.
I remember lvling cooking to be much harder to max out during tbc and wrath. So there one thing that is much easier.
From the money that i have been getting from fishing i would compare it to farm mob. Fishing is a lazy way to make gold
Efficient and effective way to make gold. Done right you can multitask and save a lot of time with it.
I’m sorta embarrassed to ask this, but what benefits does cooking and fishing serve?
I can see cooking providing food for eating and stuff like that, but do these professions make any money? And if so, how.

some foods can give you stat boosts for a certain amount of time.
Some fish are used in Alchemy - Defense potions as an example

food is mostly a weaker version of alchimie. Some food do hit effect agility buff strength buff.
Fish are use in many potion but also for the TANK flask
Not having to spend money on food is as good as making money making food. Plus buffs on much of it.
fishing sells its catches to others who dont want to spend the time fishing. (its a drag tbh)
cooking is similar but less ppl hate lvlign it as its not time consuming.
but lot of ppl ratehr do content that isnt cooking or fishing so AH is best way to get around 1 or other (or both).
I send all the cloth from iron/mithril boxes to my alt mage who just had to level up to 20 to train tailoring to the next level.
As a hunter, and if you have a cat or bear for example. Fishing then cooking helps immensely.
