So, i was in an arena as a returning player from MOP. Resto druid and the team we faced were enhanced and r druid. The druid used an ability i had never seen before to one shot my team. I researched it and convoke the spirits is a shadowlands ability (who knew xpacs had abilities). Two questions. Why isnt that r druid the best player in all of wow pvp? Why is there an ability that i cant use, used by the same class and spec?
I’m pretty sure all druids can pick convoke. It’s a choice node.

No its an ability you get from shadowlands and not in the tree
No. it’s definitely a choice node. you choose between it and incarn for all specs.

You can choose between tree of life and convoke of the spirits. I haven’t played my rdruid in a few months, but it was hard to get away with taking convoke in 3s, the healing you get from ToL felt mandatory for 3s, but maybe the recent rdruid buffs are enough to make it worth taking in 3s now, I’m not really sure
Fyi, you can still stun/interrupt convoke, if they get a full convoke off it absolutely pumps

NW, man. That was true at one time. It was a borrowed power in SL you had to be night fae to use. They’ve since added it to the talent tree.

It’s so frustrating because the class tree gets a lot better next patch, but it still doesnt address any of the foundational problems with the class.
