Convince us to NOT take off work for launch

Can you even not take off for Classic launch?

Yes. Take off the first week in September instead and by then all the launch congestion, crashes, and bugs will be so much better. More play time for your time off!

How many times does a launch have to bork for you to learn not to take off work on launch day? Seriously. How many times.

You sound like a traumatized private server player.

Never played on a private server, though I did consider it. I just see every single expansion launch people who took off then complaining when the launch borks LOL.

15 years of WoW launches and content updates should be enough warning not to take time off on launch days.

I have a life so…

Don’t need to take off for launch…first thing launch is inevitably going to be a disaster (as it always is with just about every Blizzard release). I’ll keep working and play WoW Classic as I have since I came back to retail…in the evenings when I get home for a few hours and then do most of my playing on the weekends when me and the Mrs. aren’t working around the house and doing other stuff. I’d rather save my time off for an actual vacation.

WoW’s Vanilla launch month looked a lot like the two Stress Tests we just had. Lag. Server crashes. Queues. Unresponsive controls.

I’m sure it won’t be as bad at that, but I’m not hedging any bets either.

Do you want to play Classic?

If so? Don’t take time off for this at launch.

Indeed. People take off work during the 2nd week after launch and get more bang for your free time.

Only if you offered people rainbow hellp kitty cookies.

Imagine having lived in that world most of your life where you have had to struggle against family members with alcoholism and you yourself have also had your own struggle with it from time time, then you might understand why someone might get a bit defensive about being accused of it.

Also, my wife is much meaner than me…so no concerns for her.

I’m definitely not taking any time off for Classic. There’s no need to keep up with the Joneses here. Eventually everyone will get to Naxx. It’s not going anywhere.

I’ll let the serious nerds wipe repeatedly against the various non-game boss fights that accompany a launch day.

Oh yeah? Well I have a 60hr a week 8 figure job, 8 children 2 houses, 3 wives, a lambo for each day of the week, and volunteer 20 hours a week and I can do full raid schedule daily.

Wut bro, wut.

I think I’m doing it right.

Sounds to me like someone that has experienced the launch of pretty much any online game ever.

Private server launches were 500x better than every expansion launch and beta stress test launch lol
