You want PvP focus? It’s not going to be outlaw.
You want to experience PvE content? It’s not going to be sub.
You want to do somewhat casual? It’s not going to be outlaw or sub (stat prio is very important)
You want high skill ceiling? That’s mainly sub.
Fun? Eh… it’s not as fun as it used to be.
They arent whining, they are voicing a concern
Nothing wrong with someone who’s spent multiple expansions/years investing time into a character to try to get their class/spec back to a level of fun that it once had.
To get back to the OP’s question, what’s fun about Rogue?
I can only speak for Assassin, but here’s what I love about it:
Stealth is easily one of the funnest class traits I’ve experienced. It’s great wandering around friend and foe alike without having to engage until you want to. Add sap and pickpocket in and it makes it even more fun. Add shadowstep and distract on top of THAT? You can be anywhere you want without having to fight every annoying trash mob that pops up.
The other classes I play (mage, warrior, DH, DK) don’t have anything nearly as fun as stealth. They’re great fun in their own ways but I still love my sneaky rogue.
All the other stuff about rogues are just variations on all other classes abilities, how they attack, mobility, etc. No one else has continuous, movable stealth mode. That’s the selling point imho.
One spec of rogue seems to be in a great spot for PvP and PvE. There seems to be a spot for a rogue no matter the content you want to do. But I mostly do keys, raid and RBGs I can’t speak for arena.
