A “Convert to Timerunner” button would be nice for characters I’ve created but haven’t logged in to. I tend to create a lot of characters and never actually play them. It’d be nice if I didn’t have to delete and recreate them, having to figure out what customization options I’d used in order to use them in Timerunning…

Considering most brand new time runners can be level 40 in a matter of hours I would say deleting the other character and just starting from scratch shouldn’t be a large inconvenience. If people were more serious about most of the characters they create they would already be at level camp, even if they weren’t capped for gear. While I do not oppose the idea, I don’t think it would be a wise option to allow people to hop in and out of time running.

Why? Maybe I like saving names that come to me when I don’t really want to or have time to level something? Maybe I like tinkering around in the character creator? Who are you, forum Rando, to tell me to stop that?

Well then delete the level 1 and take the few minutes to custom look the char. it not an hours long process that. this game isn’t exactly skyrim with looks menu mod. that can take hours…or find a preset lol.
In anniv I have several chars who hold a name. horde has 2 chars at least name holding.
the orc…who will be deleted in dec to make the Blood elf paladin. the troll who’d be the BE s. priest .
How to not get attached to name holders. Make em fast, name em…click ok to save. No custom work, they hold a name.
Probably tech reasons for this. Its a massive sql process to change over. Probably prone to small errors. Sort of line faction change. That hits small bumps on the road when I did that in the past.
where as declare and make timerunner is not conversion. its straight up baked that way.
If you’ve created them, but have not logged into them that means they are either level one or level 10. The characters you create for time running regardless of race start at level 10. this is why I suggested simply removing the other ones and creating a new one. You’d be starting at the same place and it would take three minutes to create something. The only thing you were saving here is three minutes.

Naturally I feel that “Timerunner” is an awesome title. I wish they could do more with it.
They don’t want you bringing retail stuff to remix, so no.

I would imagine you are still upset about your thread. It’s a public forum. Not a quorum on particle physics. Well then, let’s fix that so you understand more clearly.
If you have created them, but never logged into them, what makes them important now other than the rested XP that would give you a jumpstart on leveling?
And you would play them in Remix since it is faster, easier, and has a larger power threshold? Or would they come into being and still not be utilized?
You likely took longer with their names than their appearances. It should take all of three minutes to delete them, locate their existing appearance, and type their name in to come in at level 10. You are asking to have a never-before added function put into the game for little more than “convenience” sake to save you 3-4 minutes of recreation.
Now, just so you know, I only quoted these sections to ensure I encompassed each area of the OP while responding to a known troll.

Just delete one of your characters then remake in remix and see if its really a hardship.
He already gave you his reasoning, your reasoning still doesnt make sense, convenience is better than no convenience so he is right

maybe as a compromise Bliz can have a copy character creation template so you can spend less time recreating a character.
