Convert expired currencies to tenders instead of gold

At this point in the game most players are doing ok financially and don’t even notice the gold from expired currencies when seasons end. Why not convert it to tenders instead so we can feel more like we got something out of it?

Because you aren’t supposed to be incentivised to hoard / farm currency you no longer need just to wait for conversion.

Also tenders are account wide and all soon to be reset currencies aren’t.

The idea of tenders is to sell them in the cash shop in thinly disguised bundles you are not ever getting a way to earn them outside of events.

Just put a cap on the maximum amount to disincentivize that.

They are doing a really bad job then.

Not everyone enjoys the trading post. Gold is the one thing that’s universal. Or why not some other special currency like darkmoon faire tickets or timewarped badges?

Not really we are at half a dozen or so items and they seem to be increasing in frequency for the cash shop tied to the tender. Gotta boil the frog slowly.

They learned their lesson with the helm transmogs.

So slow it makes nearly no difference in buying power.

I guess if what… 2000-3000+ tender if you count tender saved on items isn’t buying power to you.

Not really.
We’ve earned about what…27000 tender? From no outside sources?

If a person was buying everything every month, they would have been so strapped the 3k wasnt going to make much of a difference. If a person waited until the sale, the 3k wasnt going to make much of a difference.

If Blizzard’s goal is to sell trader tender, for 2 years they havent implemented at a rate to make any difference.

Its just a side perk to random bundles.

The argument that the subscription game with a cash shop, with yearly expansions could milk its customers even harder if they wanted to isn’t a counter argument to them not milking their customers.

They are already selling it, they are selling it as you type that. I accept I play a game that exploits its playerbase but I can’t get the mindset that drives you to whiteknight it.

Got it.

We have gotten to the “how dare you disagree with me. you disagreeing with me just makes you a white knight” portion of the conversation.

I appreciate how your response had nothing to do with anything I said. Carry on.

No I am just pointing out your absurd nonsensical argument. You may cope and seethe in the manner you find most fitting as you try to argue the cash shop selling tenders isn’t really selling tenders or they would be selling more tenders.

No, that wasnt my point.

I never said they arent selling tenders.

I said if their goal was to sell tenders, they arent doing a good job at it.

They are barely selling enough to make a dent in current purchasing power. And they are tied to bundles. So they are way over priced, which pushes people away that only want to purchase tenders.

At no point did I say the cash shop is not really selling tenders.

I see now where the disconnect comes from. You not actually reading my statements.

Why would anyone, and I do mean anyone even engage in such a pointless and vapid argument as " sure they sell tender but they could be selling more of it"

I want a answer. Who do you think would waste their time with that even while at work?

I’d much rather have the gold for repairs and consumables than have tenders for another recolored mog that will collect dust forever and nothing more.

Anybody know if they expire tomorrow or next week? I’ve seen conflicting opinions.

That wasnt my argument.

Having to tell the same person twice in the same conversation " I didnt say that, or imply that"…

It starts to feel like this conversation is useless. Why should I say anything at this point? I can just wait for you to make up my view.

To be so close… but to not see the wisdom you give yourself.

…maybe they should be…
