Conversation pit

I figured I’d make my Sunday thread later, but that’s right Warcraft cities need more conversation pits. For example:

Places to gather and chat. Cause standing around fountains and mailboxes is so 2004

Thank you for listening.

MM. I agree. Also, we should remove any kinda realm chat. Proximity chat only. If you aren’t close enough to see someone’s /say, then you aren’t hearing it!

Oo, I like that idea. +1

Cute and comfy (: I THINK there was one in Boralus?

Starting with upgrading taverns and inns… then maybe add new places to go to talk and RP as well.

Now this I gotta hear…

I just have these fond memories of the mall and it had these coin fountains/waterfalls and big round brick seating areas.

All the cool kids would hang out at them. Of course this was cough 35 cough years ago.

Oribos was just a sad place with standing room only. Please Blizz?

Found the conversation pit in Boralus  Nice little RP spot.

With Tomtom, the coordinates are 58, 63

Boralus has a ton of really nice spots just for roleplay. The Valentines cafe is such a cute addition. Really makes the city feel real. BFA may not have been the most beloved xpac but damn did the art/design team blow it out of the park

Boralus is both amazing and terrible. There’s a really insane and lovely outdoor dining/relaxation area, but it’s got npcs in every nook and cranny. I was instantly in love with it, but when I went there to scout an event location I realized it would be too weird with npcs sitting on top of people.

Oh true LOL I’m at the Boralus pit right now and there are… a lot of NPCs hahaha

There’s been a lot of that lately. Either areas are near barren, or they’re so packed full of detail it’s overwhelming. It’s amazing because it makes the scene feel so alive when you’re questing through, but then it’s not functional for large gatherings :sob:

That scenery and sea wind that will come through will feel great.

OMG I came across an NPC woman holding a baby, I’m crying so cute

I followed a couple of npcs in Dazar’alor once. They have daily routines where they wander the city, doing mock errands and chatting with other npcs, and return to a “home” point at night. I am in love with those little details.

This is why I wiiish they’d update all the cities
Can you imagine the possibilities of how alive Silvermoon, Org, SW, etc could feel if they had the same levels of detail, life, etc as the newer cities we’ve gotten
Ughhhh

For real. There was a thread a looong while back about having seasons represented in the two major cities. Orgrimmar and Stormwind could really use a face-lift with the same amount of tender, loving care they gave to the hubs in BfA.

I just came across a chimney sweep NPC walking around Boralus who’s carrying a broom and a ladder

That is such a cool detail
It’s the small stuff that brings it all together omg

Definitely drop the war brutalism design and focus on the RPG.

Really offer up large seating/resting areas

Sorry for posting on this board so much LOL but this topic reminds me of the long meeting table in the level 3 Alliance Garrison headquarters (?) building. It was so nice, wish there was one in the open world/not phased out

The Dalaran Alliance/Horde inns were great too. Very atmospheric and cool

Dang it, Blizzard has the money and the resourced 100fold
Do it
