Controller Support

Will we ever see native support for controllers? I’d like to play on my ASUS ROG Ally X.

Additionally, most specs are rotation friendly with the one button rotation feature tomorrow. It would be amazing if Blizzard announced native controller support with the arrival of the Xbox version of the Ally X.

Release of the pressure valve, Blizz!

The one button rotation has been in the game for almost 2 months now, since 11.1.7

I thought the game already had native controller support.

Even Better. We’re now one step ahead and two steps away from backwards.

The controller support :video_game: in the game is not friendly to the current user interface. There needs to be specific adjustments to how data is presented on the screen depending on whether it’s KB+M or controller and a standard user interface that’s user friendly to most players.

Probably not lol they’ve already said they don’t wanna turn it into a console game so I would imagine controller support for PC is going to be limited at best and they’re probably gonna let their new benefactor handle all of that support a.k.a. Microsoft

The game already has the barebones native support for gamepads, and the rest of it is offered with the ConsolePort mod. It isn’t FF14 levels of polish, but you can definitely bind quite a few combos/chords to your bars and use triggers as modifier keys and do basic inventory management, etc. If you really want it, you should install ConsolePort once and try it for an afternoon.

Blizzard has implemented native controller support for any windows detected controller since release 9.

If you still have problems run wow through steam. Make sure your steam has the xbox drivers box checked and map it in steam.

Also make sure you are running Xbox accessories and configuring/updating the controller. If you dont have xbox accessories app its in the windows store.
