Controller key binding issues

Hi everyone,

Just setting up my Xbox controller to play, and it seems when choosing a combination (A+Right Trigger, or Y + Left Bumper) they don’t bind and it just chooses one of those buttons pressed.

Does anyone have any ideas how to keybind the buttons to make the most out of the potential button combinations?

[In the default settings there are button combinations, so it’s odd this doesn’t work.]

Hi there,
Did you resolve the issue? I am having the same problem. Unable to use many combinations. Tried Quick Bind and normal bind. Sometimes I try to bind in the second column (alternative bind) and it flips with a random combination to the primary bind column. Tried with a Switch Pro controller, same thing.

Same here, Xbox Model 1914 controller. Keybinds to action bar 1, all LB and LT combos worked. Went to use LB and LT combos on action bar 3, it bound the button I pressed and ignored LB and LT. Going to try with Consoleport but would prefer to get it working without addons.

I think I may have figured it out, or at least what the issue is.

I installed ConsolePort, and with it by default the triggers get set up as a modifier, like the shift button. It opens another set of action buttons. example: RT+ A

LB and RB aren’t modifiers, they are set up as buttons, like A and Y. Not sure how to change LB and RB to become modifiers. There is no RB +A being supported by default.
