Trying to play with switch controller for the first time. I was wondering if anyone knew where abouts i could find an premade controller interface that i could import?
Also why when i set B button to a spell its also making me jump. A button to a spell its trying to start chat. Couldnt keep default they were horrible.

I use Steam Link to play with a PS4 controller and 20 button binds. It’s great for melee, hunter, and even Spriest.
I don’t know how I would play with a controller when I have over fifty eight keybinds…
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -, =
Q, E, R, T, S, F, G, Z, X, C, V, B
Shift modifiers for all of the above.
Alt modifiers for 1 through 0, and some macros for other binds.
I don’t know how anyone could play anything on a Switch controller. An Xbone or PS5 clone would be my minimum. Barely has more controls than a Game Boy. But more power to ya.
There needs to be a default controller build where the action bars are set up like a controller and the default options match that.
The keybind are defaulted to the most unintelligent things
Most PC only mmos don’t have native controller support. FFXIV and ESO are both cool in that they both have separate interfaces that switch automatically when a controller is detected. It probably wouldn’t take much to import FFXIV or ESO controls/interfaces into WoW other than the willingness to put a dev on it. But Blizz don’t do anything more than the bare minimum, so. You can look up their control schemes though and maybe adapt something from them.
I buy all my games on Steam and it just supports all of my controllers. There is software out there that will emulate an XBox controller. I just forget what it’s called. I haven’t used it in about a year. It allowed me to play D2R with my PS5 controller in wireless mode.
DS4Windows. It also supports Switch controllers. However, I recommend a good XBox controller for PC games.
I use the keyboard for “general” actions/ abilities, but the controller works well for mobility in PVP and core abilities. Particularly playing 4 button warriors lol!
