Hello Blizz, first post ever lol, as a long time controller user I believe you are on your way to making useful controller integration. There are some major issues though with this current alpha.
Mouse click/activation bind option is a must. Dynamite and Aoe ranged spells.
Right analog (press) needs to be tab target enemy, not this ping system. Ping system could be bound to my later explanation.
Left analog in tab targets friendly.
Healer ideas are nice with the RB method in place but its finicky and there is easier options. EX: L analog (Press) When not in a group, tab targets closest ally then further out. EX: When in a group, L analog (Press) Brings up a Cross with class icons, Group member 1 is Top, 2 Right, 3 Bottom, 4 Right. Simple Press and angle the analog auto targets the selected friendly target. I did something similar by using the elite controller for Xbox and mapping right analog in to X and changing tab in setting to X to target nearest enemy, far better imo.
RB and LB need the same customization as RT and LT, the changing pages system is bad, its not just bad in WoW its bad in all MMOs. RB and LB could be more hot keys, with all the diffrent combos of HOLD RB, LB, RB&LB, RT&RB, LT&LB, or even as far as RB&LB&RT or All triggers and bumps. We could simply have a ability to map the things currently in the RB and LB system. There is something 14 sets of 8 when all Triggers and Bumpers are used as modifiers. Could even make some staples like all held is pet bar. 112 possible macros/skill/menu placements. Everything just needs a icon and a menu to hot key it similar to skills and items.
Not being able to remap the face buttons on the primary controller bar EX: jump, inspect and what not is a wild choice.
Auto attack needs a toggle in the menu to be activated immediately on any cast/skill usage and also maintain autos when swapping targets. Sometimes it works some times it doesn’t and I end taking hits standing there cause it turned off or I panic pressed it trying to attack but it turned it off.
