Her family can be compost as far as actual events… she just likes to pretend they are Forsaken for her own convenience, no more and no less. Imagine if they were part of Thadeus? now that would make things interesting regarding Calia.
Undead since 5 minutes ago with NONE of the actual reprecussions the rest of the undead have had to suffer (no seriously, she´s literally a human with a skin condition in comparison to your average undead). And funny how they weren´t in her “my nation radar” until the scheming Naaru pointed Calia could get to boss them. Even funnier when we remember there´s a whole group of ALIVE Lordaeronians living the good life in Stormwind too.
O M G.
Sure dear, and let´s Sylvanas become alive with some innane Deux Ex, her marry Blanduin and become the Nu Queen of the Alliance in which she lords over all of them like a Dominatrix. I´m sure you guys would loove that.
If “becoming better thanb undead” can only be achieved by representing ALL of the opposite things, then me thinks people that liked the Forsaken probably won´t like this.
Your little pharagraph regarding Arthas coming back to lead the Forsaken points to the opposite… not only are you grossly ignorant over it, you are insensitive to the feelings of Forsaken players and unapologetic to boot… ergo you act like the MHP trope: proposing stuff that only benefits your personal likes regardless on how this affects others.
U-hu and the best way to do it is to make them into yet another iteration of WoW´s humans, amrite? /s
I mean read at his “Arthas becomes Forsaken racial leader suggestion”… says all in regards to how LITTLE tact and humility these people have.
Sorry gal, but to say one likes both light and dark in the same events is incoherent or a blunt lie… and the only way to logically explain this is if two people live in people´s head OR if they are simply lying through their teeth to save face, period.
I’m a Lor’themar fan but he’s not really my type to be fair.
But I stan him for leading Quel’thalas through so much including Kaels BC arch in universe that was probably like a huge thing for BEs if I had to imagine it.
My Kyrian Priest will enjoy this mog in 9.1! Though I wish the Crown Of The Fire Festival looked as vibrant in game as it does in the wowhead dressing room.
It was something someone else suggested and fits right in with the old Forsaken lore of someone who was enslaved to another being. He’s probably been forsaken by more than even the old forsaken were lol
Least he was manipulated into it instead of just joining up like Sylvanas.
You ever explain what this even means?
You keep throwing around acronyms expecting people to know what you’re even saying.
Ah okay, it’s been so long I don’t remember any of that.
Really need to find time for that Reforged playthrough =]
First thing that came to mind is you have to pick a side when you watch Star Wars, you can’t think both sides are cool. lol, you and me both.
Dude, the novel EXPLICITLY states Arthas “suppresed” Ner´zhul´s influence when he put on the helm.
If you think he was just another brand of Blanduin, you´re incredibly wrong. As a matter of fact the Massacre of Stratholme was ALL his idea, no Lich King influence whatsoever. Nor it was betraying his men in Northrend and so on…
The MHP trope refers to Male Human Paladin posters, who became celebrities in the old forums because they loved to ask for Lordaeron as an Alliance only territory and made suggestions that basically erased the identity of Horde races to justify this.
You saying the Forsaken should get their torturer as a ruler in teamwork with his sister -who is basically an average Human character who happens to look funny and nothing else- basically checks all this.
Ahh…I was even googling trying to find what the heck it meant lol.
I know what you mean now. I’ve seen people joking about it, rolls eyes
Who was talking about Ner’zhul? I’m talking about the new stuff they’ve been whipping up. He may have resisted, but he was still manipulated into becoming a tool of Zovaal. Curious to see if they flesh more of that out…wonder how in control Arthas actually was.
Stratholme was the proper response. Where he messed up was taking a hands on approach. Needed to quarantine the city and burn it. Not go inside. Containing the outbreak is paramount…had it gotten out it could have wiped everything out.
He’d be more interesting than Calia for sure. He’s a very well liked character. Sure he may not be well liked by the forsaken but if they wanted to go for the enslavement angle that they did with the forsaken, it could be interesting. He was nothing but a tool of a much more powerful entity. At this point, I wouldn’t expect Sylvanas to be well liked by them either, but some still do. She’s basically become the same as her torturer. I’m kinda torn on checking the book out later on, I probably will, but man…I kinda miss the old Sylvanas.
It’ll be interesting to see what all they end up doing with things…
Do you honestly think the reward Forsaken players deserve to get AFTER:
Getting their Reason d´ être IGNORED in WotLK in favor of making the story focused in a Male Human Paladin character -literally- and instead of getting resolution getting the first iteration of the villain bat.
Getting their beloved racial leader for more than a decade becoming worthy of sharing screentime with Mumra (yup cause Sylvanas reached “Saturday morning cartoon antagonist” levels of idiocy) AND a second iteration of the villain bat
Is to get ARTHAS -the guy RESPONSIBLE for their misery in the first place and basically their OWN BIG BAD EVIL- as a racial leader? sorry NOT sorry, W T F is wrong with you!?!
It depends on the forsaken player. The race was never exactly moral anyway. I mean, go to undercity in classic and take a look at what they are doing to prisoners there.
And I really can’t stand sylvanas. I don’t think she’s had anyone else really in mind other than herself since she was raised, and has committed numerous atrocities, first in seeking revenge, and then in attempts to escape punishment for her crimes.
I think it would be kind of hilarious if Arthas ends her, and the loyal people she kicked aside ended up following him. I never said that would be good storytelling though.
Do you have any evidence Forsaken players would absolutely love this?
Cause my best friend in-game (NOT a lore junkie btw, he´s an average player in regards to story ergo doesn´t care too much if at all) cackles like a deranged maniac every time a burned Nelf appears in the Kyrian quest related to “managing the destiny of dead souls” (he even makes fun of the fact those Nelves have a one-way ticket towards Jailor Hotel A.K.A. the Maw)… and I doubt Nelf players like YOU see this quest just as hilariouly as he sees it.
Tl;dr: maybe because you think something is “hilarious” does NOT mean it´s even comical or acceptable.
NOT bad storytelling, dowright STUPID one. The last thing we need is more ways for the players to feel bad with the things they used to like.
I can say it would be hilarious if Tyrande gets killed, Malfurion dies of a broken heart and Delaryn somehow becomes the nu Racial leader of the Nelves with forgiving the Horde as her first official act, however this does NOT make the whole thing anything less than pure idiocy.
Well that’s the sentiment I see from a lot of forsaken players anyway, at least on the forums. Plenty don’t play the race to be goody two shoes like Calia. Plenty of them want to be outright evil.
How they play their characters is up to them. As a nelf player my opinion has no bearing on the nelf story one way or another, if something they do bugs me enough I’ll quit.
If the fact that other players want their forsaken toons to exterminate night elves entirely, who cares? If that bothered me I would have quit already.
Dear, not wanting to represent an airhead goodie two shoes does NOT mean they want to be represent a genocidal crazy maniac. Wanting to avoid one extreme does NOT mean people want to portray the other extreme; thank god middle ground EXIST.
Well said, then why support stupid takes in the story at all? The devs implement enough stupid takes without our prompt as it is right now…
I 100% agree with bolded AND maybe include a disccount to all the players -after all we would be doing their jobs for them-.
GD is prone to get the usual “muh Qeen” trolls… a lot of the actual Forsaken playerbase that CARED for the story literally left the game when the plot for “Before the Storm” got leaked… and the few that still stayed in SF left after the atrocious Teldrassil / Sylvanas Warmongers cinematic launched.
I think the only actual hardcore Forsaken fans that I see are Midare in GD and two other posters in SF… the rest? Not terribly invested -and the apparition of MHP esque posters trying to pass for “Forsaken fans” has been both noticeable AND awful-.
I know some good people who are Sylvanas fans and hate where her story has gone, which I sympathize with. I also know good people who are forsaken fans too, and I hope they do get a good story.
Blizzard legit has it posted that if they use your posted ideas, submitted ideas, etc. you aren’t entitled to compensation, it’s a nice thought but also a very unlikely one.
