Continuation of New Customisation Options for: Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves

That’s fine, I’m sorry if I’m coming off as harsh, but I really don’t care if you think that Void Elves are getting a 1-up over Blood Elves. I just don’t understand how a skin color can be a visual theme but an eye color can’t. I really do appreciate the Helf fan community and how creative some of them are, and I hope that somehow Shadowlands can end up becoming a big win for that community.

I’ve never looked at Blood Elves and said that I’ve wanted what they have, but I’ve looked at Vereesa Windrunner, the Silver Covenant, and the Highvale and fell in love. I’ve wanted to be like them since I met them, and they’re not Blood Elves.

Tbh, I personally can’t stand when Blood Elf stans say that they’ve always had blue eyes as a theme. It’s still not an option on live, and aside from a few irrelevant NPCs, most Blood Elves have green eyes. As opposed to every High Elf on the alliance having blue eyes. But whatever, you do you, you’re getting what you want, now it’s time for our turn

mon dieu! gnomes and mechagnomes need their city back. its big and could be separated into 2 leveling areas, 1-10 and 10-20. then remove it as a dungeon. people tend not to like it anyway. i think its fun but most people don’t like it.

goblin city would be cool too. like an area of tanaris sectioned off, a’la gadgetzan, with a starter area and a secondary leveling area like the other core races have. maybe share it with vulpera since they are a desert race. perhaps they discover a cave in the zone wall of tanaris, up in the north eastern corner, and it leads to this whole starting area for gobs and vulpera. i think it would be possible to connect it to un’goro, tanaris, desolace, thousand needles and feralas.

Because the skin covers the entire body, while the eyes are only a tiny part of the face that you can’t even see from the back?

I’m already considering it a win with the skin and eye colours velves are getting. Hair would be nice too, but I can just wear a hood, so… :woman_shrugging:

Visually, they’re the same besides eye colour and clothing. The plot doesn’t count for visuals.

If Blood Elf players were getting what they wanted, they wouldn’t be upset. Besides skin, hair, eyes, and ear options (which every race is getting), all Blood Elves are getting is jewelry for females.

Void Elves can ask for hair, and Blood Elves can ask for more skin. What’s the difference, really?

Also, tattoos for both.

Isn’t that like 90% of the justifications for why alliance should get high elves?

Any time any discussion comes about how Void Elves are lackluster and how they need attention, it’s met with “wait your turn, blood elves need more”, or “they have enough, they received all of the skin colors that blood elves have + an extra fantasy”. You have people in this thread trying to say that Void Elves are fine because they had representation in one chapter of the war campaign. Wow.

Nope, Vereesa is not irrelevant, bye.

No it doesn’t. It gives the player the OPTION to swap out of Void. In the scenario i suggested people who still want Void Aesthetics/racials/customizations would still have them. If the High Elf theme becomes more popular thn so be it? This is the avenue blizzard chose to introduce High Elves. I think most people would have preferred them as their own standalone Allied Race. This is the card that has been dealt (for better or for worse) and thus the avenue in which people are going to request their High Elf customizations from.

If the High Elf aesthetics become more popular (which they probably) that wouldn’t stop a VELF fan from chosing Void aesthetics in this scenario. To “remove” Void options would be to literally not allow a player to chose Void Hair, eyes, skins, or racial visuals. That’s not what i’m requesting.

This is because Void Elves are an Allied Race, while Blood Elves are a Core Race, and Blizzard originally stated that only the Core Races were being updated at first, with Allied Races coming later.

Now, Void Elves have gotten all of Blood Elves’ skin colours, including their new ones, while Blood Elves are only receiving jewelry for females.

And then when allied races get official unique customization High elf requests can overtake the race and nobody will even remember void is a theme.

Hey, I did say 90%, she’s still outnumbered by all the portal decorations, boat decorations, t-shirt enthusiasts, and really anti-alliance NPCs that I keep seeing trotted out as the reason they have a connection that should be made playable.

This has nothing to do with Blood elves though. How is copy & pasting options from one race to another stealing development time? It’s not like Void Elves are getting their own unique options that Blood Elves aren’t getting.

Also, besides skin colors, Blood Elves still have their own unique eye colors, skin colors, hair colors, and hair styles that Void Elves are not getting. This is why I don’t understand the complaints. Blood Elves are winning, can Void Elves live?

Yeah…she just…hasn’t had a major role…in anything since MoP.

Well…it takes time to copy and paste from one to the other, and after you do that, it means you have less work and effort to do as a whole. So…they can just say “play a void elf if you want a different theme!”.

You don’t understand, because you’re literally ignoring the complaint.

I will make it simple for you.

When I make a void elf. Can I make it look like a high elf? Yes.
When I make a void elf. Can I make it look like a void elf? Yes.

When I make a blood elf, can I make it look like a high elf? Yes.
When I make a blood elf, can I make it look like a void elf? No

its literally 2 themes, vs 1.
If you still don’t understand, I will have to question why you are in this discussion since it is basic math at this point.

Change the hair color or the eye color and that void elf can still look like a high elf, because what made a void elf a void elf, was the unnatural skin tones they possessed.

i’d like it if they focused on the scifi/space theme for velfs.

They won’t…because they gave you the blood elf look. If they do, that would be pretty hilarious.
Man, I am loving ALL the attention my void elf character gets at that point.

I’ve been had you on ignore because there’s nothing worth reading, but to respond to your blabbering.

When you make a void elf, can you make it look like a Blood elf? The answer is no. So there you have it, holy crud. Green eyes and golden eyes are blood elf exclusive, whether you guys want to pretend it matters or not.

i’ve also seen some really cool velf customization ideas. the purple eye option is making alot of potentially neat possibilities for velfs. just need a few more haircolors, like gnome pink, lavender, white, black, for example, and velfs would step up to the plate

And the ghostly blue eyes you have now are Void Elf exclusive, along with some new purple eyes that are being added exclusively to Void Elves.

Ok? So you have your exclusives and we have ours, what’s the problem? Why complain?

I was thinking of wearing that guardian of the saints robe (the blue and gold version to match my alliance wolf <3) along with the moon priests head piece from the warfronts. <3

my eyes just look white. only male velfs eyes show blue. look at somand’s eyes. them babes are white.

Void Elves have their unique eye colours, Blood Elves have theirs.
Void Elves have their unique hair colours and styles, Blood Elves have theirs.
Void Elves have their unique skin colours, Blood Elves have nothing.
