Continuation of New Customisation Options for: Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves

It’s not up.

i dont understand how to start other allied races. i thought you just went to the dude in your faction’s main city, so either sw or org, and got the quest chain. but nothing there.

This made me laugh way too hard.

I see the quest from the guard next to the hero board for allied races beginning bfa. If I don’t want to do bfa I just select the chromie breadcrumb from the hero board and pick an xpac.

I also paly SWTOR as well as WOW.

It’s awesome! It and WOW are the two I always come back to.

I play on Hyjal, and I’ve never checked so I’m not sure. They might be though it’s a high pop realm.

We don’t know what the future holds in regards to that. Only Blizzard does. We can’t say what they will or will not do.

Asking for normal hair colors/styles is not “entitled.” It’s making a simple request to complete an aesthetic. Asking for hair styles/colors from ALLIANCE races such as Humans/Kul Tirans/Night Elves isn’t stealing anything from Blood Elves. They don’t have exclusive rights to Blonde/Red/Brown hair.

This is my vulpera. Funny how I liked them the least initially, but they are the second ar I got heritage gear on.

(Totally not an Avarie alt.)

What was the first?

If you think RP tools is going to be some HE dream to take over Void Elves idk what to tell you. I guess we’ll add it in the pile of ideas where AU High Elves from AU Azeroth become playable, or that Dragon Isle idea I was recently informed about.

You just said why it was entitled in the same sentence you’re arguing why it’s not. You’re not entitled to the “complete” aesthetic, the HE aesthetic is Void Elves second visual theme, RP tools don’t entitle you to the entire main theme of Blood Elves.

None of this means anything, in terms of Thalassians, Void Elves shouldn’t have access to the full theme of Blood Elves. You now have the RP tools to be a Wayfarer and to say your Void Elf isn’t a former Blood Elf, what has the San’layn community received? Nothing. What was Blood Elf customization? Lack luster, but here you are going on about why you’re in the moral right for being entitled to things you don’t deserve.

I’m so excited to get the heritage gear on Lannisfur xD

It’s going to take me forever though, I did chromie time Legion because I wanted to see the Shaman class hall, but I just did Legion / finishing up Suramar on Lann here so I noticed how little patience I have to do the zones again, so it’ll probably be slow anyways lol.

(I love the Vulpera heritage ) - once I get it the only one I like that I won’t have will be Zandalari and idk why I like it I just do.

People are now asking to use Alliance assets to achieve said aesthetic though, in respect and good faith to Blood Elf player wishes, which quite frankly they didn’t have to adhere to in the first place. This is also where the ‘protection of Blood Elf assets’ starts to fall away as players have moved away from wanting any actual Blood Elf assets so there’s no longer anything to protect and despite this the goal posts continue to be moved which is seldom ever done in good faith.

I’m going to have to be blunt with this next point in that some Blood Elf players feeling shafted doesn’t entitle them lord over what other players should ask for nor what they deserve as said players are not their keepers. Blizzard will also be the the ones to determine who truly deserves what, not a handful of players feeling some type of way.

Yes I agree that Blood Elf players are due more basics such as tattoos, male jewelry, etc. as well as Undead/Felblood tones and San’layn assets or even an AR.

These things take time though, time which Blood Elf players quite frankly wasted the first time around in pining nearly exclusively for blue eyes, which stemmed more out of the same spite that High Elf supporters are experiencing again, so this was seen as the most important aspect for players and thus the wish was granted.

San’layn themselves are even a fairly complex issue in which people want them as an AR predominantly and there are no ARs planned for the expansion so unfortunately people would have to wait a while for this.

As far as customization options to fulfill the San’layn aesthetic/fantasy I fully support this route and believe this as well as Undead options are still the best idea for new Blood Elf customizations and they should still come first in respect to helping complete any remaining Core races that feel like they’ve been left in the dust.

On top of all of this I’d still also like to see Felblood aesthetics added, even if they had to be recycled from Demon Hunter assets and give Blood Elves 3 distinct themes and player agency for days.

I still want all of these things for Blood Elves and with virtually none of this making it into the game I feel it is now more than ever more important to stay the course of and continue to campaign for these options for the near future and not waste any more time on spite as it’s not going accomplish anything for Blood Elf players.

Assuming Blood Elves don’t receive a second visual theme and decent customization, I think it is important to set the precedent these customizations aren’t anything more than RP tools for the Wayfarers, which doesn’t entitle them to the entire theme which would be any non Void hair in this regard, and would serve to act as a stop sign to any future things Blood Elves get that High Elf fans are going to say “we want that too” for.

I’m going to have to be blunt too when I tell you you’re being extremely disingenuous.

Blood Elf players aren’t lording over Night Elf players, and Worgen, Goblins or any other race your selective word usage of the word “players” makes it seem like some great tragedy and in truth it is Blood Elf players protecting their theme, and in this regard it is specifically about Void Elves and Void Elf fans seeking to take on this second theme in its entirety, equal to that of their main theme which is also unfair to Void Elf players who like the Void theme. So perhaps it is you who should take account of what you’re lording over other players as you tell Blood Elf players what they can and can’t use their voices for, which in this instance apparently means a lot of “ignore the fact we’re stealing thanks”.

Blizzard has shown that they can’t do both at the same time, and Blood Elves are the core race that Void Elves are infringing upon, and I’m not going to advocate for HE fans who have shown they will take every last inch if you let them when Blood Elves are as lackluster as they are, because in your world it seems we could end up still receiving nothing and the HE community would end up stripping Blood Elves bare, with their AR now having two complete visual themes.

It’s not and again selective usage of words to paint the opposition in a certain light.
