I actually gotten it from alleria’s chest though… maybe it drops from more then one?
Yeah I agree. I pretty much only like my current hairstyle+the super long one that hides one eye.
But then again I find most blood elf hairstyles look really outdated and blocky.
Btw you look so cool!
Ah he really does. Kudos where it’s due.
Hard to tell sometimes.
I think greasy is the wrong word, they are modern hairstyles and I actually find the word greasy a little suspect when describing them, I think Hyper voiced her dislike for them on the basis they don’t for her fit fantasy-esque hairstyles, and that’s fair, it is what it is I can see why fantasy fans may have complaints about modern trendy hair styles in a high fantasy game but greasy isn’t the right word. And many people find their modernity quite nice.
they are modern hairstyles
This is more how I saw them.
Goth modern sort. I’m not good at styles though.
I could do with less widows peak but otherwise I like them.
And color variations tattoos, though first they would have to do tattoos for Blood Elves. But that’s what I noticed lacked on NEs.
And stop not allowing a gender to use accessories on both whether tattoos or jewelry!
so ya know how horde players have been requesting human model? half elves based on caucasian, asian and african half elves. they’d look like a cross between a human and a high elf. then horde could get access to asian and african features as well as human like model.
and if you really wanted to be fancy, have their high elf features be strikingly blood elf. then alliance could have their version thatd share some velf features.
my brain is in creative mode, constantly.

All of this.
Also tattoos separated by head and body for both male and female.
Belf should get the same treatment. Colors and head and body separations.
I don’t think you have to despair for Half Elves Hyper, ear sliders being for all Elves Nightborne, and Void Elves is one thing I strongly support and I’m sure will come eventually, personally I don’t see it as a Half Elf feature but a QOL feature people have asked for that doubles as a RP tool if you should want it. That should allow for Half Elf RP if that is your desire.
As much as a half elf race would be fun.
I think the ear sliders are as close as we will get.
Yeah if runic tattoos are those skin toned almost scarring effect more than tattoo I may want that on my face, and Rommath tattoos on my arms.
Have a look at my “Half-Elf” Druid, aka Night Elf, with short ears, brown hair, pale skin…sounds and looks like a Half-Elf to me.
I’ve never seen the correlation of Night Elves getting earsliders and half elf, RP what you wish but I’d say it’s a QOL addition that doubles as a RP tool. I use the shorter ears on my NE too and it’s just an ear slider to me for example.
And normally when people talk about Half Elves it’s in the context of Thalassians and Humans, which is why when I’ve seen NE fans want the ability to customize their ears I’ve never correlated it to being a Half Elf request, and they gave the ear slider to both Blood Elves and Night Elves, so I’d guess they’d eventually give it to both NB / VEs and it’s just a “do with it as you wish” RP or people who just don’t like long ears.
have you seen old everquest races?
deep dive incoming…
they had tall statesque high elves, fair skinned, big brained high intellect, rather weak with crappy tanking stats. weight in your inventory or weight of your gear weighed you down and if you werent a naturally strong race, just putting on plate armor would eat up your weight allowance. once you had too much weight, it lowered armor class and slowed down movement speed. so high elves were typically magicians, enchanters, wizards and occasionally paladins - tough to do though. they were good aligned and so couldnt be necromancers or shadowknights and had low wisdom, a stat for druid, shaman, cleric and ranger, mana pools. they could get away with cleric but only barely because clerics wore plate armor. too heavy. but they could be clerics and paladins, though those pallies were melee not heals. nothing in wow matches them visually, but they somewhat match blood elves in classes
then there were wood elves. they were legolas like, slender, shorter than a high elf, wisdom based, low intellect, so they were good druids, rangers, and could also be bards, warriors and rogues, but they couldnt be magicians, enchanters, shaman, wizards, paladins, necromancers or clerics. for some reason, shaman were not playable by elves of any kind. closest to blood elves out of the wow elves as far as appearance but wisdom classes so more nelf like in class options.
then there were dark elves. and as the name suggests they were drow and therefore evil aligned. high intellect, low wisdom, they could be necromancers, wizards, clerics, enchanters, magicians, warriors, rogues, and shadowknights. but they couldnt be bards, paladins, shaman, rangers or druids. they shared models with wood elves just dyed blue. sound familar? closest to void elves out of the wow races.
then there were half elves. stronger than normal elves, good aligned, excellent bards. they were better able to wear plate armor so of the elves, they made the best plate class. they had all around good stats but didnt excel at anything other than bards. they didnt look like high, dark or wood elves. completely unique but could play all non evil classes
now i know all this is irrelevant to wow on first reading, but everquest was the inspiration for wow. the original wow devs, played everquest like we play wow now. so i know they were and probably are now, familar with viable half elves in a game with other elves.
Gender locking accessories is pretty annoying.
I really need tattoos for everyone!
I posted this elsewhere but a more generalized wishlist of mine consists of:
- Males and females of every race get eye brow customization options (size and shape)
- Males and females of every race get race themed jewelry/hair adornment options
- Males of every race get separated facial hair options
- Females of every race get makeup options
- A toggle in the transmog interface to decide how a 1-handed weapon sheathes (hip or back)
- A toggle in the transmog interface that hides the skirt part of robes
- More hairstyles for everyone
- Scars for everyone with scars being separate from face/skin choice.
- Tattoos for everyone with tattoos being separate from face/skin choice.
- Blind eye options for everyone.
- Facial geometry options (like Humans got) for everyone.
Would love for more DK eye options as well! It feels weird only NE has eye choices for DK’s
At the very least, I’d like to see DK’s get the option for mist emitting green and red eyes like their current default blue eyes. I don’t want them spec locked mind you, but having the option to have my eye color match my spec would be nice on my DK.
dark purple would be cool too to show heavy shadow magic use too.
I have no objections to that either!
