Continual freezing in-game

The game continues to freeze for anything up to 1 minute. Normally it is after logging in if I don’t immediately start moving. Needs to be fixed as it has been happening for some time.

To forestall advice re PC build etc I have an AMD Ryzen 7 7800 8 core processor and 32g RAM running on Windows 11 latest release so it is NOT the PC!

Perhaps try moving this thread over to the Technical Support forums for some help troubleshooting whatever issues you may be experiencing.

Yeah bro I think it’s just a you issue actually.

I mean I wish you the best but this doesn’t seem to be an issue that’s widespread and would need you to actually go talk to the appropriate individuals that can help.

Sounds like your processor is maybe over heating. Try putting a fan on your computer and make sure it’s not next to a heat vent.

I’ve never had WoW freeze on me in any version. Might be a PC end issue.

Get windows 11. 10 isn’t really supported anymore.

Works fine, perhaps he has one of the new gen Intel proc that melt themselves.

This is the worst advice

Is it though? There’s literally zero updates for windows 10 from October 14, 2025. I would have thought the worst advice would something like ‘go fight a tiger IRL with your bare hands’.

If you wish him the best, then don’t say rude things like ‘it’s just a you issue’.

Every time I’ve had any FPS drops or stuttering/freezing in WoW 95% of the time it was an addon causing this.

“Questie!” and “Nova World Buffs” have routinely been responsible for lowered FPS in my experience. Sometimes it’s just from a poorly optimized version that gets fixed in a later update.

Try disabling those or other similar addons first and see if the freezing is still happening. If it is, then consider troubleshooting hardware.
