Content Progression

Each Patch should come out with at least 2 new dungeons. And each of the dungeons should support the hype and story of the patches theme.

Do you really only want one patch a year? /s

um what? if youre refering to how slow they already are at development then thats just a huge fail on the company. SOOOO many other games have proven to do WAAAY more than what WoW has put out.

More content would be nice, yeah. I hate that Blizzard’s content model has shifted from “deliver the best possible experience on a consistent basis” to “reduce costs as much as possible and accept sub/player loss to hone in on the peak of maximum ROI”.

Shadowlands is basically minimum viable product. 8 dungeons, 1 mega-dungeon and 3 raids is basically the bare-bones minimum for an expansion.

Hopefully some of these other MMOs coming out cause Blizzard to shift their model and realize they need to start pumping out more content again if they want to stay on top. Time will tell.

Read the title and thought “probably not a tank”.

Blizzard can make linear dungeons.

Look at something like Magister’s Terrace. Let’s say in Shadowlands we had HD Magister’s Terrace, because “Kael’thas or something”. There’s like, a couple things you could skip and offset with other trash if you want, but otherwise its mostly a straight shot.

The idea of not getting dungeons because it is a burden on tanks seems crazy to me. Yes, I don’t think we should have 20 dungeons per expansion, but like… 12-14 seems like the range we should be looking at IMO. Not 10, and definitely not 8 (Shadowlands going from a 4 tier patch to a 3 tier patch really hurt M+ because Tazavesh should have been in M+ for 1/2 of the expansion not only 1/3).

I am a tank and I desperately need new dungeons. 8 dungeons for this long is not acceptable.

Imo they should have the 8 from SL +2 taz ones from 9.1 or 9. 1.5 and then on tip have like 4 time walking ones where they have a couple from legion and a couple from bfa rotated in each season.

It’s such wasted content atm and pathing etc would be easier because many of us would have already done them before.

If the content releases were spread out more, I wouldn’t mind. As it is, having to learn 11 new raid bosses and 2 new M+ pathings, plus a new M+ affix, in a 2-week period… it’s a lot of work piled on all at once.

Yes sure I’ll take that. Add the dungeons 4 weeks into the patch or something Idc. Just don’t let us go this long with 8 dungeons ever again. Idc what they have to do to do that but they need to do it.

They need to stagger the content releases.

Instead of dropping Korthia/Tazzavesh/Sanctum all in July like they did, they should have done Korthia in June, Sanctum in July/August, and Tazzavesh September/October (and Tazzavesh with higher ilvl rewards).

This “mega-patch dump” strategy they’re using is rendering much of what they do obsolete. Nobody has time to do it all at release, and by the time they do, it’s not worth doing anymore.

Tazavesh released later into the patch and tuned for higher ilvl and higher ilvl rewards would have been fantastic. It’s such a shame that it was a one-and-done in 9.1. What a waste of perfectly good content. It’ll finally get some proper love in 9.2 but the mega-dungeon version of it could have gotten so much more mileage than it did.

It’s such an obvious business move, I don’t know why they don’t do it. They got it right in BC for example when they put out Zul’Aman while Black Temple was still current.

Oh wait… none of those people work at Blizzard anymore. sigh

I think they could release less dungeons. Like we don’t need this many per expansion. They could do 6 and then have time walking ones to fill in the other slots.

No they couldn’t. Many of us would simply not buy the expansion if it launched with less than 8.

We got 8 because Blizzard knew that was the minimum they could get away with. Period.

You’d still buy it.

Lol no.

I skipped Cata, I skipped most of MoP, I skipped BFA. I, and many others, will simply skip the next expansion if they launch with less than the minimum viable product. Blizzard knows this, so they won’t, so this argument is kind of moot.

So something that’s completely made up in your own mind? No wonder you’re never satisfied.

I would like a new dungeon each patch. The mega dungeon idea I guess is ok especially when they break it up into 2 different ones by the next patch. Especially since they’re adding it to M+. I guess I just would like a new m+ dungeon each patch. Mega dungeon + 1 smaller dungeon to include into the rotation. Then the mega dungeon split, then if there’s a 3rd patch, another dungeon to add to the rotations.

It probably wouldn’t be so bad if they release new content sooner.

No you take the rubbish and you go play new world with it with its no content.

Why does it matter if it’s a new dungeon if they can add mythic+ to an already existing dungeon.

They’ve got all the mythic+ content from BfA and legion they could use
