Blizzard seems to put so much energy into rehashed content, plunderstorm, visions, legion and mist remix, why don’t they just create new dungeons and raids?

Rehashed content = less time or effort to implement, as it already exists, so they can focus on housing and the next two expansions.

New dungeons and raids = much more time and effort to implement, as it does not exist at all.

Also: Undermine, the two Delves, the new raid and new dungeon this patch, along with Dastardly Duos seems like new content to me.

I do miss Cata levels of new dungeons in content patches.

We got the same number of launch dungeons as we do now, but 4.1 added 2 more and 4.3 added 3 more.

Since then we’ve gotten between 0 and like 2 per expansion.

I get that 2 of Cata’s were raid conversions and that the expansion had its own issues, but man, having a full extra set of current-expansion dungeons to use for an M+ season would be greatly preferred to having the base dungeons show up a 2nd time for Season 3 or whatever.

Something has to take a hit for housing.

Story, a new dungeon or raid… something other than busy work arcade mode!!

and stuff like Mists remix, as much as I wish it wasnt so overpowered, is a nice way to break from current content for a while.

Because it takes months to create a new raid/dungeon vs the weeks it takes to actually run one to antiquity and the novelty runs off. For this reason technically they should move away from raids and instances and more towards RPG geared stuff like housing that’s evergreen and player driven in design potential.

Do you believe that this new BS game mode coming took less than 2 to 3 months to make?

I would much prefer they put their time into making the game less buggy and laggy. The quality of gameplay is going down patch after patch. Too many bugs just get released and either take too long to fix or aren’t fixed at all.

Which one? That’s my point, it takes them a while to make anything that isn’t already there, devs can’t outpace the sheer rate at which content is consumed, which means the content itself has to be capable of lasting longer, you only do that by making it self or player sustained.

Housing for instance is only “done” when a person decides they like what’s there, till then you just rearrange furniture or run old stuff for it.

Because it’s extremely asset heavy to build a new dungeon from scratch.

So? Do they not have money to make things?
