Content Difficulty

2 weeks ago a +2 was a small step-up from M0, which itself was a small step-up from heroic. There was a very clear path to get the gear required for the average player to succeed in +2. And then because it was a pretty low bar for anyone even slightly above average, many groups could succeed even with an unprepared player in their midst.

You can think the state I’ve described was bad for the game if you want. But that was the state of the game 2 weeks ago. To say WoW has always had a difficulty jump for dungeon content like we have today is a complete fabrication.

Before this season, there were 10 levels of keys below that +12 they could potentially enjoy. You’re trying to tell me it’s better these players who you likely didn’t affect your gameplay in the least should just lose that option? Who does that benefit exactly?

The problem is that there were players who enjoyed keys in the 2 - 11 range in the past that have been completely priced out of the game mode now. People want to focus on just the fact that players are undergeared, and that definitely is a factor for sure. But there will be players with those extra 30-40 item levels whose performance level would put them in the former 2 - 11 range; for those players, this gameplay option does not exist anymore.
