Not everyone who is called is a God is actually a god.
Old Gods are not true deities, they are super powerful species/races. Titans are another example, They are not actually Gods/dieties but extremely powerful race/species. Lesser beings might worship them as Gods but that does not make them one.
In the wow universe. They are Gods.
Thros exists because of Yogg. That is lore. The Nightmare exists because of the both of them. That is lore. The curse of flesh was created by Yogg. That is lore. The cosmology charts aren’t meant to show you limitations only origins. Death magic is closer to void than light but it isn’t void which is why valkyr can use it. Yogg obviously learned how to use it too. Why would you think an old god is stuck with void magic only? They’re conscience creatures with agency.
They are not. Only true deity of wow universe is Elune, confirmed in the wow encyclopedia. The rest are powerful beings.
Thros does exist because yogg yes. But it is not a death realm and Yogg did not come from Thros nor did he originally create the “Space that is Thros”
Thros is the name of the space that the Drust settled in when they reached the Place where their dark power came from. Which was a apart of the Emerald Nightmare. WHICH is a corrupted part of the Emerald Dream. Which is a realm of life, not death.
Someone needs to read Chronicle. Wow Encyclopedia is like wikipedia. Go Get Chronicle. They are Gods.
My last reply to you. Old Gods followers call them Gods and call Titans usurpers and refuse that they are god. Titan creations do the same thing, consider Titans as Gods and Old Gods as parasitic beings. Just because you have worshipers does not mean you are a god.
No but being the cosmic entities that brought life into the Great dark beyond does… And that is the Pantheon.
The only thing that the naru and the void lords did was create the twisting nether. that is it.
The Pantheon are Gods.
The Old Gods are the Evil side of the the Gods. And they are Gods. They are cosmic entities placed here by the Void lords to destroy and consume all. And Corrupt a world soul they can have a corrupted GOD on their side to allow the Void Lords to come on to our plane.
The Old Gods are weaker then the pantheon too. But they are still Gods.
Such as?
N’zoth being behind Deathwing and the Cataclysm was stated during Cata. At blizzcon 2010, someone asked Alex and Metzen who was behind Deathwing? They answered it was N’zoth and we haven’t seen him yet.

(Around the 5:20-6:00 mark)
Also Warlord Zon’ozz mentions N’zoth by name.
In the novel Stormrage, Malfurion notes that the Rift of Aln was still there following Xavius’ defeat and its power has old god origin. In Legion we learn that Xavius is still serving N’zoth in secret despite being brought back by Sargeras. We also learn that N’zoth was the one who was behind the Nightmare (yogg may have created it, but N’zoth was the one who used it). As for N’zoth creating the Naga, that was hinted during Cata as well. Only to be confirmed with Azshara’s warbringers scenario.
That quest where you defend Ulduar from the legion has you fighting against Faceless ones yes, but they were echo’s. Echo’s tend to be caused by Time magic or some lingering corruption.
As for Zek’ozz, what we see is more of data copies. We fight Zek’ozz in the Data collection wing of Uldir and it looks like he has corrupted the data discs. So they are not really “avatars” or anything like that.
As for Y’shaarj, it was the method that Aman’thul used to kill it that almost destroyed the planet. Aka ripping him out like a weed.
Oh of course he didn’t come from it. Sorry for that misunderstanding. Nah an old god would never be trapped in a realm of its own making. Even Ny’alotha doesn’t have to exist for old gods to live. It’s just a playground, a scene with props, for them to entertain themselves while they eat. Thros is a death realm now. It didn’t start out as that by it is that now. All the Drust are there waiting to find a way back into the world. So it still serves its role as the dream, being a place for specific spirits to rest and recover, only there is no rest in Thros.
Yeah and after all that he still wasn’t dead. Pieces of his body fell down from space back to the planet where they were discovered by Keeper Ra. This was what started his spiral into hopelessness only to have it cemented when he received the distress code that all Keepers received, his coming from Khaz’goroth, that the Pantheon were destroyed and the Keepers had to really protect Azeroth because there was no one else.
and we soon as you defeat Garrosh, all that remained of Y’shaarj’s power is gone. All that remains is a puddle that disappears soon afterwards. His heart is shrunken up like a dried fruit.
Elementals that are killed in the elemental plane, or whatever prison Ra-den and Helya put them in also perma-kill them. Such as Ragnaros, Al’Akir etc.
Ra found out from a fragment of Aman’thuls soul, not Khaz’goroth’s.
Lei Shen would later eat that fragment.
And then Wrathion would later eat Lei Shens heart.
Didn’t the Dark Iron questline hint at reviving Ragnaros, somehow?
Even though Ragnaros died in Cata, the power he represented still exists. Which is why the Cenerian Circle kept an eye on the firelands to see who would claim that power.
it is implied that the cult of Ragnaros (the group of Dark Irons that refused to follow Moira and stayed loyal to Ragnaros and the twilights hammer) killed Smolderon and planned on bringing back Ragnaros.
