I keep getting disconnected from the game while trying to do my daily quests in Korthia. I have no idea what’s going on, but I can’t seem stay in the game for any length of time. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with my connection either, since every check on the connection comes back with no problems whatsoever. Also, I’m more than able to load any webpage, talk on Discord, and everything. It seems to happen most often when I’m typing something out in chat, or when I’m tabbed out and it’s really getting on my nerves.
Edit: I’ve also noticed that the Bnet app has started doing it as well, but it’s still not my connection. Even while I was going through the whole 60 seconds of waiting for the full DC, I was able to load Google on my browser. There’s clearly some connection troubles with Blizzard’s servers right now.

Sorry to hear about the disconnections. I double checked a few things on the Blizzard side but we’re not seeing any widespread server issues or problems within the Blizzard network that would be causing this.
It’s possible that there’s a problem occurring somewhere along the route between your home network and the Blizzard servers, since everything else seems to be staying connected when the problem occurs.
Can you try running a WinMTR and capture a disconnect occurring?
- Download WinMTR
- Right-click on the downloaded .zip folder and select “Extract All”, to extract the files to a new folder.
- Open the new folder that was created, then open the WinMTR_x64 folder.
- Right-click on the WinMTR application and select “Run as administrator”.
- Type the IP address 137.221.105.2 in the “Host” field.
- Click on “Start” and then launch the game. Allow the test to run for at least 10 minutes. Click on “Stop” when you’re done playing after you have experienced the latency or connection issue.
- Click on “Copy Text to Clipboard”, paste the results here, then highlight everything and hit the </> button in the posting section so it will allow links.
Is the 137.221.105.2 the correct IP for all people having DC issues or would that change per server / location?
137.221.105.2 is for the West coast data center
24.105.62.129 is for Central data center
103.4.115.248 is for the Australia data center
So your WoW server will reside on one of those. The timezone of the server does not always reflect where it’s physically located.

Further question,
Would DC’s only happening in instances change anything? Pretty reliably getting DC’d during boss fights both in raid ( people only from our server ) and pugged m+.

Yes I have heard there are raid addons that can disconnect you. You could try the old reset trick of renaming the Interface, WTF and Cache folders to InterfaceOld, WTFOld and CacheOld (very important to do all 3) but you probably wouldn’t want to raid without addons.
You could always try a solo run in legacy raids such as Naxx or any of those. Once it’s stable you could try reintroducing addons one by one.

Not me, but guild healer, and it’s been going on since 9.1 I think.
There’s been a clean re-install and I’m not sure what additional addons they might be running. I run healbot without issue, which is the only raid / healer specific addon I can think of that might be out of the ordinary.
Think you might want to check again… TOOOOO many people DC’ing isnt random.

we just got the notice that Servers are shutting down within 15mins… it a Blizzard issues i believe. Dont think WTF folders n all of that would do any help here LOL!!.. We will wait but we should deserve something blizzard like a pet sent to mail saying sorry for the crash! LOL

Hundreds of people are reporting being DC’d… I’m pretty sure we don’t all suddenly have a connection issue given that you have massive server issues during EVERY expansion (seriously… EVERY. SINGLE. ONE…).
Maybe try I dunno, using the roughly $50,000,000 in monthly subscription fee revenue (based on average player count) to… and I know this is gonna sound crazy… pay for better servers and better talent?
