Constantly being pulled out of stealth in PvP when no one is near me

Honestly, what in the actual hell is this?

This problem has been going on for ages. The only way you can really avoid this issue is by picking up the talent Subterfuge on the right side of the rogue tree.

Honestly this is crap and blizzard needs to make the passive effect to keep you in stealth from these stupid 40-60 yard abilities baseline.

Randomly being pulled out of stealth from such a distance feels utterly terrible and ruins one of the most fun parts of being a rogue.

This has happened as long as I have played rogue (since 2007)

All I can suggest is have stealth baked into a lot of your abilities.

I generally dont go near the fighting unless i can pick a target because you’ll be pulled out from all of the absurd AoE abilities, or youll be pulled out from invisible hits that blizzard refuses to fix (things that apparently touch you but dont show up on the combat log and doesnt hurt you, basically random stealth drops)

It’s been rolling forever man, subterfuge doesn’t prevent anything but can be very nice in those instances on unsuspecting people/ salvage a really bad situation sometimes.

They aren’t going to tone others down to help is though so we adapt.

I did notice wake of ashes also de stealthing me when I was watching a retribution paladin in loam, although he was not pointing in my direction with that arcing attack.

There is a big list us rogues have put together but it is a few weeks old of abilities / items that break stealth and what people have been doing to be mindful / fight it.

I dont play Feral Druid.
Do they experience the same issue?

Not sure dude but probably. Pretty doubtful it is targeted at us specifically though.

  • Fart bag abomination (gone in the patch, that will be traded for 2 methed out army of the dead ghouls) has a pretty lengthy range with their eye brow burning aura of rotten sewage seems to knock us out at 15-20 yards. ( on purpose as it is a hostile aura / damaging effect).

  • Paladin effects from divine toll seek you out regardless of stealth, same with something from holy paladin.

  • Warlock abilities can also knock us out but I’m unsure what regardless of combat status / prior interactions (ex: malific rapture won’t damage you if you’re hiding but will knock you out).

  • demons sometimes follow you over large distances (arathi basin and arena (no shadow sight eyes available) as an example) and knock you out even through vanish

  • Shadow priest ghosts (forever a thing) will find you regardless of vanish / stealth and knock us out. ( appears to follow you for around until impact)

  • Druid adaptive swarm and nature’s vigil will follow you and knock you out (40+ yards still knocks you out: ex WSG and AB hang gliding from a point to another after vanishing / stealth)

  • hunter’s pets sometimes still see you from 15-20 yards in vanish and will follow you for large distances as well.

  • incense auras from crafting break stealth

A few examples of stuff I’ve noticed regardless of status and distance.
