Whenever I launch Battle.net app - it constantly says it’s doing an upgrade. Then every few minutes or so it goes through the whole cycle again. Sometimes it actually installs files but for the most part, it’s just checking. Is this a new feature? It’s a bit annoying.

I should have mentioned the frequency and how long it’s been doing it. It started doing this about 2-3 weeks ago.
Its been doing this for years in some way or another. I get the same thing with retail and classic so it must be a launcher thing. Mine sometimes fixes itself and stops doing it then it goes right back after a minor update. I believe it has something to do with addons as mine does it every time I update one of them. I’ve reported this several times and nothing is done, live with it.

I can confirm this. It is happening since May when I recall myself correctly.
I found out when I do a scan and repair in the launcher the fake updates will go away until the next real update will be applied.
It is an annoyance but not a serious error.
