Constant freezes and crashes

Since your server crash of last week. my game stutters, then freezes constantly…forcing me to force stop my PC, which obviously isn’t good for it. When it does crash back to desktop, a notification comes up saying “wow.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware”

All other programs and apps are working fine, including my Nvidia graphics card. I’ve tried every fix I can find and nothing has worked.

I happened to be playing the game when the server crash happened, while most other people were just unable to log in…I don’t know if this makes a difference.

Please don’t say it’s my end because it’s not, I even rang Nvidia themselves and none of their suggestions worked either.

Please help, I’m paying for a game that doesn’t work :frowning:

Hey Toxique,

That “blocked from accessing Graphics hardware” error can happen for several different reasons and would be unrelated to any server issues you were experiencing earlier. Without a list of steps you have already tried though it can be difficult to give you suggestions.

If you want to provide that list of steps and your DxDiag, we can take a look. My guess is that there may be a background program (such as security software) that may be blocking the game now, even if it wasn’t doing that in the past.

To provide the DxDiag, follow these steps:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Paste the DxDiag into a new post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the (</>) button. That’ll make the information much more readable.
