Game Version:
Version 11.0.2 (56819) (Release x64)
September 27th, 2024
Problem: Every time I attempt to log in I receive one of two errors (before and after attempting to select a character to log in). Meaning that occasionally I get booted on the login screen and occasionally shortly after selecting a character. Assuming the game allows me to log in at all (Reconnect Icon Greyed Out Occasionally). Additionally attempts to load a character but freezes on loading screen with no error. This ALL applies to both Cata Classic and Retail. Account is active and direct support has been the exact opposite of helpful. Has anyone experienced this and has a solution?
Error Codes: WOW51900319 and WOW51900308
Steps Attempted:
internet Connection (Restarted Router, Flushed DNS, Refreshed IP, WiFi and Wired)
Internet Speed (70+MBPS WiFi and 700+ MBPS Wired)
Drivers / Updates (All Updated, PC Restarted Multiple times)
Graphics Settings (Drivers Updated, Settings Set to Minimum)
Add Ons (All Updated, Later All Fully Disabled)
Battle Net Launcher (Updated, Uninstalled, Fresh Install)
World of Warcraft Retail and Classic (Both Scanned and Repaired, Both Uninstalled and Redownloaded, Fresh Installs)
Computer runs fine and plays all other games and online content. No issues with dust or overheating. Previously running this game daily at max settings with no connection lag.
Thank you for the reply. I configured my network to run through a different ISP and the issue resolved. So I imagine you are correct that the widespread issues seen on the forums are likely related to weather damage. That being said all of my outgoing servers are in Miami and there was next to no damage here.
Pinging to one of the old IPs of my server. That being said when pinging sites like google.com on the network that doesn’t work, there are no issues.
I’m seeing pings of, at worse, 76 and 127 on the second hop with packet loss starting there, but then further down some packet loss starting in the Comcast side, and increasing to a 3rd party between comcast and blizzard if the IP you are pinging in your second route is correct. It may not be WoW, I am not sure what IP that actually is.
What kind of internet is this? I am guessing cable, but Comcast/Xfinity does do mobile data also, and I am guessing with the pings it could be a mobile data hotspot.
Yeah I noticed that drop too! And its theoretically a Fiber Coax Connection with both WifI and Wired Tried. But I agree the routing is a bit strange. Doesn’t seem like an issue with my gateway, but further down the line somewhere.
I assume there isn’t much I can do unless Comcast fixes whichever node is the botteneck.
There’s no packet loss here, just a few laggy nodes in Comcast’s network. You sent 100 packets and 100 made it to the last hop in the list.
Florida electric and internet infrastructure are still in shambles from Helene. Although Miami wasn’t directly hit, everything on your route out to other states likely was. I’m farther up the state and we’re still seeing effects from the weather (and more coming).
