It happens when I interact with some of the puzzle treasures.
It sounds like you’re both running into a UI issue. Problems with addons not working with the new patch are incredibly common.
Back up your folders first, then use this:
‘I am trying to play the new patch of World of Warcraft Shadowlands, I am constantly getting disconnected. everyone I talked to in game is also getting disconnected. what is actually going on with the servers right now. I’ve been waiting to play the new patch, and now it’s become so frustrating I’ve given up. something needs to be done.’ - me, yesterday.
I submitted this as a support ticket, and only got generic copy paste response from support, much like the one in this post. Blizzard has really gone downhill. they won’t accept any responsibility. just know you guys are not alone , pretty much every person I talked to in game yesterday was also constantly getting disconnected. trash support needs to escalate and take seriously. instead they are just going to wait for people to quit playing the game and servers to stabilize . like always.
Also am getting this while in Zereth, It either takes several minutes to catch up with my actions or it will just stop and get disconnected out of the game. Barley had this before 9.2 dropped yesterday.
This is not just World of Warcraft constantly disconnecting. It is also Diablo Two and Diablo three. My wife also plays Over Watch and deals with the same issues on all four games. We contacted our internet provider and for a week they monitored our connection. no issues there. We uninstalled the router and had tech support on the phone to set it up again. We reset our IP addresses as suggested in tech support. The addons, the game, the launcher, they all have been uninstalled and reinstalled. Windows Defender is off and the launcher was added to my anti virus protection. Silent mode and quiet mode have been on. I replaced motherboards and core, video cards and RAM, along with new monitors incase they couldn’t handle the graphics. It is not us anymore. No other gaming software has these issues, only Battle.net. The Battle.net app disconnects right before my game disconnects. I have even sat on the login page and watched disconnections. I have said this before and I will say it again, Battle.net is broken. All games authenticate through it. All games rely on that connection and it needs to be revamped. I know I am not alone with this issue.
I’m playing the new content. And while I’ve been disconnected twice, I found it was directly linked to two add-ons.
I don’t work for Blizzard and I’m not pasting anything generic to you. These are steps I’ve personally proven to be effective.
Your connection to games is more than just the quality of the connection between your home modem and the ISP’s offices (which is what they are monitoring). Instead, it’s something like this:
Your modem (1) → the ISP nodes in the neighborhood (2) → ISP nodes in city/state (3) → routing peer the ISP pays (4)→ possible secondary routing peer (5) → Blizzard routing peer (6) → game servers (7)
Most connection problems happen on the hand-off between numbers 3, 4, and 5. You should open a new thread and include a WinMTR.
I went into the Battle.net folder. I opened troubleshoot compatibility. It suggested to use Windows 8 for battle.net launcher. That worked. Like I keep saying, it is battle.net, not my network.
I last about 15 second flying on my druid before I get WOW51900319. This started Thursday and it comes and goes. I played all afternoon yesterday without a single disconnect.
I have consistently repeated this disconnect by simply pressing spacebar while in flight form and going inches before WoW drops connection.
I did everything but reinstall the game because 77 GB.
EDIT: It’s only my druid. So I have no idea unless it is something to do with Broken Shore as that is where my druid currently is.
Yeah, I’m dealing with this issue right now actually. I have replied TWICE with information and I’ve been told both times that it must be some issue with my Internet connectivity. Internet company is showing no issues, full speed, no outages, I’m connected via ethernet cable so no wifi issues, etc. They just keep punting the problem back to me instead of doing anything to even sort of troubleshoot or diagnose the problem. So frustrated right now.
This is 100% on the server side, the zone Najatar is constantly disconnecting characters, logged into a different character with no issues, go to the zone and immediately disconnected.
Same issue here. Have never had this issue before, but now after 9.2 it happens once every 15 min to half hour.
Same issue here, and I’ve been having this problem randomly since the patch came out. I was disconnected at least four times today alone.
Mentioned this in another thread, but check the Microsoft Defender Cloud-delivered Protection option to make sure it’s not causing the issue.
I just fell through the map in ZM tonight while jumping rocks and got disconnected. Now I am falling below the terrain and DC every time I try to log in. I opened a help ticket, but who knows. its not an addon compatibility issue because I did an interface reset and it didn’t solve the problem. Hopefully they can just force kill me and I can rez.
I have not a single addon and it’s happening to me. I can’t speak for anyone else.
same. constant disconnect since maintenance.
No that is not it.
For this, use the self service stuck character option.
