So Warcraft Chronicle Volume 4 just came out…and it seems to confirm a 5th old god?
Now, last time I looked at the shadow tree we only had 4 capstone talents, all in reflection of the known 4 old gods…
…SO, let me get my tin foil hat on, and say this: I wonder if the reason we haven’t received a proper update like so many other classes is because they’re literally waiting for a lore reveal in one of the upcoming patches in the TWW, which will reveal both a new-old-god AND a new tree with 5 capstone talents.
Thank (old) god the priest forums are patient and mundane and we can all look forward to this.

What theme would a 5th Idol option provide that we don’t already have?
Y’Shaarj = Mindbender / Pet
N’Zoth = Damage over time spells
Yogg-Saron = Shadowy Apparitions
C’Thun = Channeling spells
5th = ???

They can redesign the class and spec tree, all they need to do is leave a space for the new capstone. Don’t make us suffer just because you want to look cool we’re already suffering. Also, give us a buff.

Not sure what holy water you all are drinking but they haven’t said a thing in the priest forums or even let us know there is a rework in progress. That was what before DF?

I like the Hopium… but if Blizzard would say something like… “We got something in the works” that would be great… Right now I feel like the 4-year-old of a neglectful mother who leaves me a home alone while she parties with her friends named, “Pallie, Magina, and Shamania”. Meanwhile, I’m laying on the floor starving for at least a handful of Cheerios.

Until there is some communication, the most reasonable assumption is that this is the intended design for shadow. No changes are coming. Don’t cope too hard when there is only doom.
