Console Port Help! Double Connection

Hi,

I’ve been using Console Port for a few years now and it’s been working great. I took a break from WoW after 9.1, I came back for 9.2 but now Console Port is kinda bugging out…

Every time I turn on my wireless Xbox 360 Controller while WoW is already running I get a notification in chat that my controller has connected twice. This breaks my controls completely and makes the game unplayable with a controller. I realized that if I turn on my controller while WoW is closed it will connect normally and have no issues.

I’m guessing a recent update broke this and I hope the devs can fix it soon! If anyone has a permanent fix to this please let me know. I’ve already tried reinstalling Console Port, changing the versions, a different controller and using a wired controller. Nothing has fixed this issue permanently or even fixed it temporarily while the game is running.

Thanks for your help,
See you in Azeroth!

I don’t think you need console port any more.
Controller use was integrated into the base game with 9.0.1. Try disabling console port.

WoW does have their own console support but it’s no where near as customizable as Console Port, like having a free moving mouse, raid frames support, world maps support, UI changes ect.

However, I did find that if you do /console GamePadEnable 0 then /console GamePadEnable 1 while in game, it will temporarily fix the double connection issue.

Given that it is an addon, it may be more productive to post in https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/guides/ui-macro/35 or to check the addons website to see if there are similarly reported issues.
