Instead of using the 2nd row/alternate keybinds there should be a third row for keybinds in the options menu specifically for console keybinds. Also, this third row should only be active if the /console is active. This would allow console players to have their specific keybinds, without any change to current PC setups.
With the release of the X-Box/PC handheld coming this winter, I suspect there will be more emphasis on console and single button play expansion. However, it shouldn’t impact current setups for players who may go back and forth between systems.
I know there are currently addons that easily allow for different keybinds, but there seems to be a move to reduce reliance on addons.
I’m confused. Don’t we already have this, where there are already keybinds for those who use controllers? I don’t remember them impacting me at all.
They should copy FF14’s console setup. 20 binds. Base, LT, RT, LT + RT, RT + LT. Maybe 8 more with LB and RB.
They’re in the Alt set of keybinds. This is probably a good place for them, unless you use the alt set for other things/controllers. Most people probably won’t notice, but if you use a lot of different systems to play, you run out of possible keybinds quickly. I just think Console support should have their own row instead of using a row people have been using for 20 years.
