Please consider releasing TBC raids with a difficulty toggle. Before you scroll on, I would like to make a case for this from the player perspective.
In the first Classic TBC, I joined a guild who took me in with no raid experience and I grew with them. We wiped a lot in SSC and TK on the final bosses. Eventually the raids were nerfed and we got to kill the bosses. I think a lot of players experienced TBC this way. However, our guild went in to Sunwell and wiped on M’uru probably more than 70 times without a single kill. Then, the last two or three weeks before the nerfs came in, we were able to kill M’uru. On the very last week before nerfs, we killed Kil’jaeden. This was such a growth arc and sense of accomplishment for us. It was hard, but we did it.
When we entered Sunwell the following week, the nerfs were active. It was very easy to kill everything. The experience made us feel cheap and took the wind out of our sails, so to speak. It made our struggle feel like it was a waste of time. This is where I feel that a difficulty toggle like “Normal/Heroic" would make sense. What would be the incentive for heroic difficulty? In the previous TBC classic, nerfed raid tiers received extra loot drops. Instead of that, I propose that the double gear drops from the previohs iteration be added to the “Heroic" raid difficulties. I don’t know how much development time would have to be invested in something like this, but I humbly request your consideration.
I believe in making the content accessible for players of all skill levels. It is also a belief of mine that players would love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with clearing the pre-nerf content that they weren’t able to during their previous play-throughs. Double gear drops could also reduce the need for guilds to run “splits".
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Ssc and tk after the nerfs weren’t even enjoyable. They weren’t small nerfs, KT got hp nerfed by like 80% or something.
Let us enjoy tbc prenerf, it’s one of the best pve experiences.
post nerfs, its not even an experience

This is exactly why it made us feel cheap and maybe even a little cheated.
I’m picturing the raids in post-nerf state being like running a ZG with geared players.
In the best case it is chill, you collect your stuff and carry on. Fun at first while it is new.
In the worst case it becomes a boring chore you have to do because you still need something and feel obligated to farm it because it is in the game and you don’t have it yet.
Most of all though, as you rightly pointed out, it takes the “progression” out of raiding and those struggles are what make you feel something when you finally get it. If you enjoy raiding at all there is no better feeling that watching a boss die that has given you a hard time for a couple weeks. This would be removed from the game except for maybe a couple of bosses that still have some challenge to them very late in the game.
As a Tank player a lot of my enjoyment in the game is the challenge of balancing survival and threat. If neither matter then the role doesn’t matter. What makes TBC good is that it is a nice step up in difficulty and sense of accomplishment from Vanilla WoW. The original intent was to “Get geared and learn to play” in the words of Tigole himself.

You get easy mode or easy mode, please dont call for development on a lazy tbc era, you’ll get monetization and be happy with it.
Bro they have to do something. Rn the ptr has me unsubbing full blue 70 pvp set for under 72k honour. (You can farm 75k in prepatch) nether vortex available from badge vendor ??? Im actualy totaly okay with the anti boosting mechanics being in game so long as they are not in the heroic dungeons. And just dog deodo raids off the rip ?? Who is this game for ?
I understand that Classic has limited development resources allocated to it, but I do want the most players possible to enjoy the experience. I love TBC and want to see it thrive. This idea is meant to keep the raids more accessible to the casual/average player while also making them a rewarding challenge for those who really get into the grind of things like I do.
