Consecration fix

Does anyone actually enjoy using this spell every 10secs as prot?

It’s just so irritating to use. It does no damage and requires you to stand in it for the 5% dr…

Please just make it proc off our spenders or something? Or just flat out remove it and add the 5% dr to our passives, were made of butter anyways.

Its trash, and poor design. They need to either have it add utility baseline (Hallowed ground pvp talent) or up the damage this is the most useless spell in paladin toolkit maybe even the game.

It’s nice burst aoe damage for lightsmith (Divine Guidance: for each Holy Power ability cast, your next Consecration deals 3,585 damage or healing immediately, split across all enemies and allies. stacks 5 times) but that takes casting 5 SoRs before full potency and the mob is half dead by then. It’s much more effective as a “gotcha” finisher in pvp since the stacks don’t drop off. You can prime it ahead of time.

Somehow holy, who only uses it for supplemental damage, got the good QOL talent for this to just attach it to judgment casts instead of prot who needs to use it way more for 5% DR and threat. Make it make sense.

They changed mastery so it no longer provides as much damage reduction inside conc making it not as deadly to not be in side which is super nice. But our defensiveness is so lacking. I wish they’d take away conc DR all together (the one talent point) and maybe give us mastery that reduces our damage reduction when using dev aura or something. Similarly scaling to old mastery so we fell tankier and also don’t have to worry about positioning conc every 10 seconds or when we move for abilities. Think this would help playstyle and our general defensive issue atm

I don’t play holy but wow that’s a little nuts, what an easy fix for prot. I could do away with conc alltogether but this sounds like a decent bandaid fix.

Getting rid of it is the dumbest most smooth-brain take I’ve seen. And auto dumping on the ground from some other ability always puts it in wrong place, scrubs.

You’re right, it actually should be an aura that is emitted from the paladin itself say maybe 10 yards and it would solve all the issues and basically we just maintain the aura buff every so many seconds like we already do

We have to acknowledge the light is bad now so we’re actually seeding the ground testosterone that blinds our enemies with rage. (according to the writers)

It should be a talent choice where you use it as an ability but it’s got a stronger effect or area, OR it’s passive and applied when using another ability but you no longer have to manage it.

Should just be a Aura or something, so moves with us, but no they took that away lol.

Can we get retribution aura back? When we had it we were barely pumping much holy dmg except OG shockadin… now I mean… hell u got holy healers doing dmg so its helping there too!… also reckoning… I mean damn talk about a fun OLD talent then made to a pvp then made to nothing

Id like to see them make it move with the player like the old glyph use to. This stationary burnt patch in the ground is so outdated. Even with Hallowed Blade for Ret we dont get full use since tanks just move out of it.

Yeah they could make it a concencration aura passive that burns enemies around you in combat or something.
