Conquest weapon quest is THE dumbest thing you have done blizzard

It’s bad enough that you gave us a quest that makes us wait 3wks before we can get the reward (a reward we have really no control over) but to have that quest LITERALLY LOCK US OUT FROM BUYING CONQ WEAPS is actually the dumbest decision (in a long list) that you guys chose.

I would REALLY like to know what you are thinking.

Also, side bar: it’s time for casters (not JUST moonkin) to have a disarm. If you are going load all these melee up with gap closers, gap stoppers, interrupts, stuns ( You know, the laundry list of stuff to stop us from uttering spells/casting)… it would make sense for casters to have some kind of means making someone drop their weapon. Obviously it should have a cooldown… But casted (interruptable) fear, casted (interuptable) stun with a massive 1 min CD, and a half-…ed horrify on a 40sec CD is woefully insufficient when your algorithm insists on putting casters (like myself) in lobby after lobby of rogue/War/Ret, Ret/War/DK, DK/War/Rogue, etc.

I stand by these opinions.

Absolute Blizz W update…

With hotfixes, we will make the following changes:

  • The quest “Weapons of Conquest” will be deprecated and removed from all players’ quest logs.
  • A new achievement called Forged Weapons of Conquest will be added to the Feats of Strength → PvP category, with a criteria to earn 2500 Conquest during The War Within Season 1 on that character.
    • Progress towards this achievement is retroactive, and you can view progress towards it by checking your ‘Season Earned’ amount on your Conquest currency.
  • Upon completion of this achievement, you will be awarded 2 Forged Gladiator’s Weapon Tokens via mail, similar to the Mark of the Spelunker Supreme from the seasonal milestone achievement.
  • While in possession of these tokens, Lalandi in Dornogal will offer weapons from her entire selection, allowing you to choose your preferred weapon.
    • All 2H weapons will cost 2 tokens, and all 1H/OH pieces will cost 1 token.
    • Warriors are an exception, to equitably accommodate Fury, and will find that their 2H Strength options only cost 1 token.
  • Once you have spent both tokens, Lalandi will offer her weapons for Conquest once more.
    • As before, you cannot purchase weapons with Conquest until after earning the Forged Weapons of Conquest achievement on that character.

The whole “you still can’t buy conq weaps until you farm THIS much minimum conq” is still an issue, this is still an overall MASSIVE win.

conq started 1600 this week, will be 2200 next week, and then 2800 week 3. Thus, no conquest weapons for anyone until minimum week three (not counting crafted conq).

What class do you play at max level, or is the warlock maxed?

So you’d rather pray for a weapon in your vault and then end up buying it with conquest anyways? We get like 7-8 of gear week 1 and you’re complaining about free weapons lmao

It’s about being locked out from buying weapons until we make EITHER an arbitrary amount of Conquest at whatever pace someone does, or even if we MAX our conquest weekly we are forcibly withheld from purchasing one until minimum wk3. It has nothing to do with the (potentially Terrible) free weapon.

If 8 out of 10 lobbies weren’t literally me… and 3 dump truck melee… I wouldn’t feel as strongly about it.

Just since this afternoon today (me= aff lock):

Me, Fury, UDK, DH
Me, Fury, Fury, Frost mage
Me, Fury, AsRog, Ret
Me, Fury, UDK, Ret
Me, Fury, Ret, MM
Me, UDK, MM, AsRogue
And just finished a: Me, UDK, Havoc, Feral… where I got 0-6’d, and I had more damage taken than the next 3 players combined.

And today isn’t a one-off.

100% do need a disarm. That many lobbies with that many stuns, micro-CCs, interupts, meta-interupts (like grippy hands, static field totem jumping from rSham etc), gap closer after gap closer. And every match its double melee vs me… Sure, I don’t flat out lose all those lobbies… But the truly dramatic amount of extra effort it takes over that many lobbies to constantly try and outplay double melee round after round after round is absurd. I spend more time trying to juke casts to bait interrupts only to get stunned on the actual cast or chunked down in the time I am standing still, than actually getting to do CC/damage. Maybe it isn’t that we need disarm, but that we need cast times removed from basic CCs like fear and Sfury (especially since Sfury has such a long CD as a stun) or make them a different magic schools… similar to how mage polymorph is arcane, so at least if a frost/fire mage gets kicked then have something to stop the push.

If there was at least some semblance of balancing to lobby compositions I wouldn’t feel as strongly about it. But it is just so ridiculous all ready.

Trust me brother. I play Spriest, and AffLock. Both are lvl 80 and geared with honor stuff. Im an old, washed up player who came back for the expansion. During the beginning of every expan it feels like casters are rough since we typically have low amounts of Haste.

But, as a warlock…with having the PvP Talents Soul Swap, and Jinx…Its so easy to spread dots around while being trained.

Is your class harder to play than any other melee dps? Yes. Thats what you signed up for, regardless of if you knew it or not.

My only issue with melee, is really just how Dots and Channeled spells interact with AMS. With other casters, they can still build resources or procs on DKs with AMS. As an Spriest/Afflock…Dots are immuned. DrainLife/Soul, Dplague, Mindflay/VoidTorrent…cant touch them.
