Why do conquest gear rewards repeat?
This has got to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in this game.
Paying and playing for vendor trash makes no sense.
How many level 370 bows can I equip? 1, so why do you have me work for 3 of them? 1 chest piece can be equipped. I am going to get my second one to vendor trash this week.
I have a weapon that is 10 ilvl lower than equipped but with a socket and better stats. All I want is another upgrader piece, and I thought that the upgrade piece from the last week repeated and I was thrilled. Only to find out that the conquest icon stays even after earning it within the first day of the new conquest week. I don’t exactly pay attention to these things as I raid too lol. Then another weapon appeared. I got it 370 but no socket.
You don’t know my pain. WTB a repeat upgrader instead of all this other stuff I don’t need.
I’m fairly certain it repeats for people who only PvP, to give them some semblance of character progression. Besides, I’m not sure what else you would expect it to do. It’s either cycle, just start spitting out trophies (which doesn’t help if you didn’t hang on to your Deadly Glad gear), or stop altogether so once you loot the last item you have nothing else to do until the next season.
Since we have no vendor, this is the next best way to do it (especially since people love to complain about the RNG drops in PvE). At least like this you may be able to pick up off-set pieces if you play multiple specs.
It’s really a weird choice on Blizz’s part not to release the items and their schedule ahead of time.
I, personally, had no idea items were going from 355 rewards > 370 rewards after only 8 weeks. At this rate are we to expect 385 items from Conq Cap’ing before December ends?
By the time we conquest cap enough to get all 370, 8.1 will be released and everything in the game will drop 370…
Right now I pvp to have fun, I don’t care about conquest capping. In 4 weeks everything we have will be 370 whether we play or not between now and then.
Yeah, I wish I had known about trophies before d/eing some of my gear >.<
Probably. in 8.1 370 is going to be the base ilvl, aka what 340 is now. So 385 will be one step up from the bottom.
Really? If the schedule straight up repeats. Weapon, Chest, Gloves, Pants, Shoulders, Boots, Belt, Helm. We only have another 6 weeks before a token appears again. Which this time around may(?) be 385.
Which is to say, the week of 12-25-18 we would be seeing a 385 token followed by a 385 weapon.
Fact is, none of us have any idea how this system is supposed to play out in the long term. Or what the heck happens to it on the release of a new raid tier because Blizz have failed to communicate that to us.
Like… in 8.1 are new players or fresh alts still going to have to grind through 355 Conq Cap gear to get to the 370 Conq Cap items deeper in the system?
Are rewards going to be exactly as they are but just with an upped ilvl floor?
Are we getting new and different Azerite pieces from Conq Cap or just the same 2 chest pieces we’ve seen twice already?
Which would be inline for 8.1 where things like LFR will start dropping 370 peices. 12-11-18 is when 8.1 hits.
I have a feeling new players will start grinding starting at 370 pieces. Players who already have that ground out will start working on 385.
I don’t see the future, so this is just my educated guess based on how things have progressed plus what I know of 8.1. I think it’ll be a bit off for new players to start grinding pvp for 355 when they’ll be able to run LFR (and I assume warfronts) for 370. Since they want to make sure everyone is geared for the new raid.
I dont see how vendor trashing Ilvl 370 gear when I have lower level items like trinkets makes sense. This is such a stupid way to handle how gear is got. A vendor or let the upgrader be the reward after the gear has been given out. But a vendor is clearly the best and this way they are doing it is clearly the worst.
