Has anyone seen any word on this? I double checked prior seasons, and looks like they’ve announced a week or two before the season begins for BFA. I haven’t been able to find a post for it yet, but wanted to double check to see if I’m missing it.
(For anyone that bothers looking at my gear, yes I’m a filthy casual… Hoping to change that this season and try out rated PvP with a friend or 2 - and trying to figure out which gear I need to farm with the pearls in Naz and what will be rewarded immediately for Conquest and what ilvl.)
There’s a good chance that the Conquest gear that starts out will not be very high item level as it usually scales during the season.
Benthic gear can scale to 425, already surpassing The Eternal Palace normal raid items, lul.
If previous seasons are an indicator to go off of, and we still won’t have vendors because Blizzard is not done “observing how vendors work in PvE before putting them in PvP” (what a complete joke, also note they said this a year ago.)
The first Conquest PvP item will be an item level 410 weapon, followed by an Azerite piece that is also 410.
Farm manapearls and increase as many items as possible to 415 by then, due to the scaling cost of upgrading Benthic gear, it is better to upgrade multiple items instead of focusing on just 1.

Just gonna take a guess here judging by the expansion until now and say don’t farm pvp for pvp gear, you’ll have a much better time doing m+ for a week to gear up
Will have to look into getting a mythic group than too, thanks!
And a 410 ilvl weapon will help me out a bit, so at least there’s that. But I’ll continue focusing on benthic gear. Thanks!
forum posts says they are lowering the max ilvl of m+ gear.
making raiding the best place to gear for pvp.
GL man wish i could get the motivation to force myself to do Casual/Rated PvP but I have just been a pissed off customer since the removal of Vendors. F.R…
Back in Cata i had a good guild that did RBGs 3x a week, I used to drink a 1/2 pint of Captn and go at it, those were the days

PvP gear seasonal scaling is so bad, it might be one of the worse things about this expansion. Gearing wouldn’t be horrible if the gear stayed relevant, but it’s almost useless after a month because everyone surpasses it’s use.
You would think with how long capping takes, it would at least be somewhat useful. Unless you’re gearing an alt, it’s garbage compared to other gearing options.

Also, Do the weekly 4 Mythics this week, guarantee a good upgrade brotha

They really think People can jus hop into arena, get 2.4k first week and just outscale raids
You mean a completely random ilvl 400 piece? Definitely not guaranteed
Excellent. I can use a new weapon myself. I got this 400 one. Don’t mind if I “tool up” a little bit more.
Where is this information sourced?
Also I’m curious what traits the PVP azerite gear will have. Same as last season?
I don’t really know. That wasn’t my quote. I was trying to look into it myself.
Just as a heads up, Wowhead just posted the breakdown for item level of the gear rewards. It starts at 415, and look like it’ll ramp up to 430. It doesn’t give the specific order of pieces, but seems likely it’ll be the same as season 2. I’m hoping weapons start, it’ll be nice to get a 415 mh.
Thanks for all the responses!
I noticed on my rogue that when you finish the weekly conquest goal, after getting almost 1 of each pvp 415 gear i have now begun to receive 430 ilvl gear when i cap the conquest goal for the week which really isnt bad, so i have to assume that going forward my rogue will continue to receive 430 gear for each slot at the end of the conquest goal. We shall see.
It will, that trend happened last season as well. But CP rewards should be based on your rating
The reward from capping is the chest i thought and dosnt that increase with your rating?
There is also a quest you turn in when you cap the 500 for the week
