You have no way of measuring numbers of shards. Warmode shards are filled and then a new one starts. You see see none of those other players on other warmode shards, and if you’re in warmode you have no idea how many players are occupying the same zone but not in warmode.
It’s kind of like crz. Players say “the world is dead” because they happen to be on a low pop server. But the response that “I look and see lots of players” - from dozens of realms - is nonsensical.
That was really annoying. I spent an entire month doing nothing but free for all PvP because I knew if I fell behind in the conversion I would give it up rather than having to re-earn past what I had already gotten.
Given that honor was just for cosmetic rewards at that time, I don’t really think there’s any sort of valid comparison.

It’s not nonsensical when those “lots of players from dozens of realms” can straight MURDER you bro.
Normal mode sure all the random players may as well be NPC’s, but in Warmode this crap is hella fun bro.
Why would I care about players not in warmode, if they’re not in warmode?
Turning on warmode is like joining a different game lobby. That’s like caring about how many people are in Tichondrias while you’re playing on Thrall lol

No.
People often say, “I see lots of players” as evidence that their realm is busy. But actually they are not recognizing the fact that in their capital city that previously was single realm there are now 20 realms crz’d.
I get that you don’t care about the game. But the fact is that when you’re in warmode there is no way to tell how many warmode shards there are. Yours may be the only one. Or there may be two.
My point stands. If there’s the equivalent of 50 shards of people not in warmode and 2 in warmode, warmode is not nearly as popular as you think it is.
I don’t care about that, capital cities aren’t warmode battlefields so that’s pretty irrelevant.
Warmode Maw/Korthia/Bastion is some of the best fun me and my homies have had all expansion.
I mean… by your logic there’s no way to tell how many warmode shards there are. Mine might be one of hundreds… thousands? Dare I say… ZILLIONS.
Even if there’s only one shard, my shard always hella filled so I’m having a good time.
It’s fair a point you’ve made, but the increase still doesn’t make any sense. For people grinding the mounts like me, the increase was incredibly annoying as you said. Plus, aren’t the current rewards still the same as Legion rewards? Mounts, toys, titles, and pets?
Dudes, nice change! Way to implement it asap and not wait till 915. Thank you!
A great change!
Though I still think it should be a multiplier based on how many weeks you’re behind.

Yeah! Now if we can get rid of the rating requirements.

Yes sir!!! Good news I love it. Coming back to WoW and farming honor and CP in randoms is depressing as hell!!! Not fun getting 2 shotted every game by some lunatic with insane ilvls. If you guys can filter matches to a reasonable ilvl window that would make things fair across the board people with 240+ ilvl shouldnt be matched up against someone barely reaching 200 ilvl.

I guess this is on preparation for the BoA conquest loot boxes they’re experimenting with for alt gearing
Can we please do something for our PvP newcommers though? At the very minimum can the Honor Gear PvP iLvl become baseline and have the renown gate/upgrades only apply to the PvE iLvl?
The rating requirements should stay, bis gear shouldn’t be handed to you for losing
Who cares about reaching the cap when you have to deal with carry teams containing multiple high end Glads pushing through the lower brackets.
Nice system Blizzard, real nice.

Well…handed or bought to be more specific. Lets be honest here. Some people refuse to spend 60-100 bucks for arena carries

Exactly! This is a major issue that needs attention ASAP.
If peopl want spend there hard earn gold for carry that is fin
Sure, I’m one of them: paying someone to help me gain prestige in game… F that.
But, sadly, the number of people I see in PvP communities (or PvE communities) that opening talk about having purchased carries… And that means high end pvpers are participating in lower end pvp in order to get those people carried. And THAT is a crappy system.

Hard earned real life money turned into gold sure. I certainly would not do that. I rather bang my head on my keyboard and gear my way through randoms to a decent ilvl and get my own rating with my partner thanks.

70% off seems like such an odd number to choose, why not just a flat 100% increase for the sake of simplicity? Tbh, even a +100% buff is bordering on “low”…
Also, losses should give a small “consolation prize” amount of conquest (say… 30% of a win?) similar to how PvP islands worked.
For example:
- 80 conquest for a BG win
- 24 conquest for a BG loss
It’s been suggested a few times before, but a “specific queue” BG win should also award a token amount of conquest. Perhaps the same 30% as a “random queue” loss?

There was no forcing, problem derived from low PvE droprates. If you wanna progress fast you “have to” do both sides already. For example I used to do Mythic+ for 200 iLvL weapon at start of season, Honor weapon was 184 I guess. Streamers used to get scared when they see my gear because when they had 216 iLvL I had 223. I am 90℅ PvP player and I do PvE if will give me advantage.
It’s not enough to catch up, it should be increased even more.
