I found a hero chest piece in a delve, upgraded it to a tier piece and then tried to spend my conquest on a Conqueror’s Prized Varnish to turn it into a PvP piece (which is the point of this item…)
It says “That item cannot be modified” when I try to use the varnish on the newly upgraded tier piece. I believe Conqueror’s Prized Varnish is bugged when trying to use it on Tier pieces that originated from delve before upgrading to tier. I am now permanently behind in pvp until this bug gets fixed
I’ve experienced this same issue - hero track shoulders from delve, catalyzed, unable to apply varnish.
Well i tried to get blizz support to help, but it appears after many “communications”, if you can call them that, that they are unable to assist or escalate the issue themselves. We need to somehow make the devs see a pvp issue on our own. So fat chance of a resolution any time soon.
I have also placed a bug report. I hope this gets fixed soon fast.
That’s literally the purpose of bug report. QA replicates the bug, sends it to the devs to fix. Though the timeframe on fixing bugs can get a little muddy depending on severity (this isn’t even close to game breaking lets be honest here)
I think he already knew that 
i am weaker than my opponents in PvP for at least a month because I catalyzed the “wrong” piece - which the Varnish is suppose to SOLVE this problem, not bait me. this is far more game breaking than 90% of the bug reports on this forum (and 90% of the bugs that will be fixed in next hotfix) and you know it.
You catalyzed a hero piece, not a veteran piece, you’ll be fine.
Yeah but he wants the set for PVP, and delve gear is unable to be transformed into pvp gear with the new token. So he is behind in set for PVP… Other players have the set bonus.
He can still get the set bonus, his item is like 20 ilvls behind, which is extermely marginal and a drop most people made in season 1 to get set bonus early.
Who at blizz is paying you?
Point is that your “sky is falling” scenario is not that to developers, in any technical setting (game or otherwise) 99% of the time.
The issue with warbound tier from the raid not having upgrade tracks was fixed within days, so I imagine this will be fixed pretty soon too. Just relax.

Doesn’t actually get things fixed faster.
They cant fix bugs they dont know exist so it probably does actually get it fixed faster.
If you truly believe that they can only notice bug reports at the top of the list, next time just file the bug report in game from the support menu.
I did that already. I am now posting in the dedicated bug report forum
And QA has already transferred your report to the bug tracking system, from your first post here. Bumping changes nothing after that happens.
