Hey, I am experiencing terrible lag on classic wow. My connection is fine, no other app or game lags for me, I opened port and ping command on cmd shows good ms on the speed. It was a bit better in the early levels, but now I can’t play properly, huge lag spikes, delays, for example: I’ll run around and everything will work fine, as soon as combat begins, I’ll do a single skill and both me and my opponent just stand in place and the long lag occurs, at the end of which I’m either dead or have been standing doing nothing (it is not responsive). As I wrote above, I tried port forwarding to all the 3 ports, I don’t have anything running in the background either, and my internet connection, both DL and upload speed is fine. Please help me with this, thank you.
I’m having the same issue. Latency jumps from 45 to 600 or over 1000 but many times the lag happens with normal (green) latency. Help us Blizz!
I have been having the same issue for several days now. It’s random when it happens. I did notice that when I use a VPN, it does not happen at all. Are you by chance using Verizon FIOS?
Yes, I am indeed with Verizon. You think they may be throttling the connection?
I wouldn’t say throttling. Possibly something wrong between them and Blizzard. Like I said, it’s been happening a lot the last few days. I am also with Verizon FIOS.

If you have access to a VPN, I find that I have 0 problems when using one.
If you’re both on the same ISP and having trouble, can you test on your ISP’s network and create a WinMTR test which catches a latency issue? You want to restart the test every 10-15 minutes until you catch one of these problems. Once you’ve caught one red handed, run the test for about 5 more minutes. This will let us look for problems between your house and our servers which may cause this.
If you have problems with posting it due to a link error, go ahead and copy paste this into your next post, and replace “WinMTR goes here” with your test.

Should I run it while in-game, or that doesn’t matter?
Same issue, different isp.
I did not manage to catch any errors, tried both IP’s for west and central. Although, even with some lags, I had like 50% less these last few hours, with the program running in the background. The last few days was much worse. Still lagging though
Different ISP, but exact same issue. Game is basically unplayable. I’ve followed 100% of the general connection troubleshooting, and everything else runs fine, but I get 2-3 seconds of lag every ~30 seconds ingame or so. No clue how to fix it at this point

I’ve been having the same issue, my latency has been perfect for the most part, a few spikes here and there but it happens with or without high latency. Really noticeable during raid this past weekend but still noticing it on occasion when I am in combat in both Retail and Classic. My ISP is Mediacom though and not Verizon.
Other than that having no issues streaming stuff or playing other game online.

I’ve had these issues but only in Panderia dungeons. Something is borked with those dungeons
Not seeing anything glaring in that test unfortunately. Based on that test you should have had only 66 ms and didn’t drop any packets. Verizon FIOS uses IPv6 to your house so it messes with how the test displays, which means the info may not be accurate anyway. You caught one of the lag issues with that test, correct? If not, re run it and ensure that you catch some hangups/lag while it happens then repost it here.
I’d also like to see how a looking-glass looks during a period while you are having issues. May help us identify issues on the way back to your house instead.

I am surprised @Drakuloth did not check this since its been blocking folks off and on all afternoon. I personally cannot get into any server because of it.
As per usual, we are told to look for problems on OUR end. Tired of this run-around.
