they farmed rep off of a mob that people didnât know gave rep, basically, thereâs nothing else about it

To be fair, anything to do with retail is absolutely unimportant to me. I canât name a single player, much less a known player, who plays retail.
With that being said, world first in Classic is a non-event not even worth the internet ink used to write about it.

Iâve seen these names suggested on Youtube, but like all WoW content creators, I check the option âDonât suggest this channel againâ in hopes that the youtube algo stops suggesting WoW âcontentâ creators. It has mostly got it sorted at this point.
I imagine theyâre probably popular for something. Whether thatâs retail or classic, I couldnât tell you.
I only know this guy for PVP. Not sure what else he might be popular for. Not sure if heâs classic only or retail based.
I could list off a bunch of other names I know, but I have no idea if they are popular for retail or classic.
As for these names, I have no idea who they are.

No it was duke searbrand on a 60second respawn that gave 100 rep a kill.

no it wasnât, that guy was always capped at revered, 2 nota members are in my cata guild, they farmed firesworns (50 rep during the event) in burning steppes from revered onwards, everyone knew about duke searbrand

They didnât just grind more, they camped a mob spawn. That mob spawn got nerfed as a result, which prevents anyone else from also doing the grind. All the trolls defending the exploiting have egg on their face.
People have been banned for exploiting mobs. They have accused people who camp a mob with abnormal spawn times with exploiting. Blizzard just doesnât have the guts to ban a whole guild that brings in stream views for their game.
Blizzard adds a mob for a new event in SoD. When slain, said mob yields a reputation gain. Mob respawns. Slay mob again for reputation gain. Mob respawns. Slay mob again for reputation gain. Definitely an âexploitâ.
Players who camp that goblin in Badlands â yâknow for Bloodsail rep? â thatâs exploiting by your nonsensical definition of an exploit.
Youâre intentionally missing the point that it was not intended for that mob who gives rep to exalted to be farmed like that. The point is it was nerfed to where NO ONE ELSE can even attempt to farm it. People used to be wary about taking advantage of fast respawns, because people used to be banned for exploiting them. Blizz is simply more lenient now because they want the sub money.
Taking advantage of an abnormally fast respawn used to be considered exploiting, which is why people now are calling it an exploit. The fast Invader respawns at Thorium Point make me nervous because the way people camp them used to get players banned in the past. Luckily Blizzard is more lazy and greedy than they used to be.
However, the fast Invader spawns at Thorium Point simply let you finish a daily quickly, which is vastly different than farming Hydraxian reputation to exalted before anyone else can for an on use 110 fire resistance.
Mannnnnnnn exploiters are aggravating enough but the rats that pretent to not understand are a completely different level.
